Dolphins want former BYU RB Unga

By Mark J. Miller

Harvey UngaRunning back Harvey Unga voluntarily left Brigham Young University in April due to an "honor-code violation." The school let him go even though he was BYU's leading rusher with 3,455 yards and 36 touchdowns.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel is reporting that the Miami Dolphins are considering taking the 6-0, 237-pounder in the June 15 supplemental draft.

The team is doing its "due diligence" on him. If the Sporting News' presumption that the honor-code violation was for premarital sex with his girlfriend of three years (she had to withdraw for an honor-code violation at the same time as Unga), it doesn't seem like that would cause issues for teams considering him.

The Sun Sentinel reports that the St. Louis Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, and Pittsburgh Steelers also have interest in Unga.

More than 20 teams are sending representives to his July 8th workout.  I don't think it is really an issue of whether he will get picked up in the supplemental draft, but what team and what round.

If that is all he did, then he is nearly a saint in comparison to all other guys his age.
And most of the current Dolphins. Smiley
