Well done.

I will say this though, I really liked his interviews.  He seemed like a fun person.  There was a time when he was a damn good nose tackle.  Lately, he was just damn good on certain plays or against certain teams.  As do most of us I am sure, I hope Starks and Soliai don't screw this up.

I have to admit, I didn't like, nor hate Ferguson...He's a good run stuffing DT...But....I hung my hat on the fact, ok, If Starks is struggling against the run, atleast we have Ferguson for the second half of the season, to help shore up the run defense.....Well the Defense continues to get faster....

Hopefully Soliai can be like John Holmes and stuff some holes if we need him to.

Long term this could be best for the Dolphins.  Retirement this year or not, JF was not gonna be a long term solution.

Plus if you look at the rest of the AFCE the Jets are stack for this year but have way more players that are going to be UFA in 2011 than they could possibly sign.  The Patriots have not yet signed Moss or Brady for the future and question marks exist with both of them.

While you can't publicly state you are looking towards next year before camp even opens, the smart move for the Dolphins is to sever ties with players that won't be playing for the team in 2011-2012 while giving rookies and younger players plenty of playing time.

Having Ferguson on the roster complicates that if Starks has some growing pains.  It is the same reason why JT made more sense for the Jets than the Dolphins.

^^ I don't disagree with that point, but it was nice luxury to have late in the season...
