What has he ever done?

Why is he always in trouble (Raiders, Tennessee, USC, and now the Titans)?

He appears to be a shady characters - and clearly a terrible football coach in now what appears to be a crap USC program.

Good job Pete Carrol to get the F out of there.

Kiffin is an ass and didn't respect protocol in the Pola-hiring...

But I'm at a loss as to why the Titans are suing him (and USC) for it. I mean, Pola broke his contract which stated that he needed permission to discuss jobs with anyone else.

Why aren't the Titans suing Pola? He's the one who broke his contract.

^^^ Because it is a tradition that coaches are allowed to move up in their careers. Why would the Titans complain about Kiffin breaking protocol and then break it themselves?

Yeah, he seems to be somewhat of a dipshit.  I think it was a huge mistake for him to leave Tennessee.  ....even when the USC job looked good, he had to do it in such a sketchy, shady way.  ...big dummy.

The Titans have filed a lawsuit.  It seems Pola's contract stated he needed written permission to discuss a job with anyone else.

Much harder to win.  Much harder to collect.

Lawsuit will be in front of a Tenn jury.  Who do Tennesseans hate more?  Pola or Kiffin?  Is a jury going to be more willing to force Pola or USC to hand over to the Titans a big wad of cash?

Also the 13th amendment of the US constitution makes it pretty hard to enforce employment contracts when an employee wants to quit.  It does not stand in the way of suing someone for tortious interference with a contract.
