After two games, it's hard to get too excited or too down about anything.  But I'm starting to worry about our general lack of total yards and especially points scored.  The defense is playing much better this year than I had hoped, but we're not going to be able to win 14-10 every week.

The running game seems pretty solid so I'm not sure I would change much there but I'm more disturbed by a general lack of plays in the passing game.  Maybe it's just the course the first two games took I don't know.  But I would think we should be much improved by now through the air and I'm just not seeing what I thought I would.

I disagree that our running game is alright.  It seems like we're giving up a whole lot of penetration to opposing defense, often leaving us in 3rd and long situations, which we're unable to convert.

I think that we took a step to go down the field this week, which is good, but I think we need to continue to open up the field.

They have obviously taught Henne to play "not to lose" football. Unfortunately that won't win fir us down the road. He's going to have to be able to throw an int once in a while or we will never be able to open out offense. The offense looked reminiscent of "Wanny" with Pennington at QB. We are going to get our backs and QB killed if we can't clear the box.

We have yet to trail this season.  That greatly impacts our gameplanning.

Right now, it seems that the coaching staff is (deservedly, to this point) very confident in our defense, so they're instructing the offense to simply Not Lose The Game.  When that doesn't work, we'll have to open it up.  It's at that point that I think a fair assessment can be made.

As much as everyone hates Wanny, when he was our coach we were in the thick of the playoffs every year. There are no style points, so I will take winning ugly any day of the week.

Winning ugly I can deal with, but the offense averaged almost 24 points a game last year, we've barely equalled that in two games this year.  I'll take 14-10 if we win every week, but it just seems like the offense gets stuck in neutral for half the game and then the other half they're alright.
