He could just say "I'm not a Fin anymore, so I don't want to discuss that". McNabb was just asked about the Kolb benching/Vick starting thing in Philly, and he pretty much gave that sort of answer.

And all JT had to do was say "If you guys want to talk about the game, I'm more than willing to talk about that". He didn't have to answer and go into his little "If Parcells had left sooner..."

His own terms??  The Dolphins told him they wouldn't offer him a contract until after the draft.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize the fins were planning on drafting his replacement, but wanted him to hang out waiting to see if that fell through and only then were they going to offer him a contract.

No player is going to turn down an contract to wait and see if another teams draft plans fall apart so he can try and get a spot with them.

You're absolutely right. But he makes it sound as if he was willing to stay here regardless of the outcome of the draft. If he really wanted to, he should've waited. I don't blame him for not waiting, but don't go crying "whoa is me" afterwards. He did what he felt was best for him, and I can't fault him for that. But thats all he has to say. I'd have a lot more respect for him if he was saying that.

I guess Jason Taylor has a crystal ball and knows what they were gonna do in three weeks?  I bet Parcells didn't even know.  Its not unreasonable for a GM to want to be focused on new talent 3 weeks before the draft, rather than haggling with an agent over a legacy guy who wants to be paid like a superstar.

And, what's above is also true.  He was offered an extension and turned it down. 

If he wanted to stay, he certainly could have.  He was impatient, and he left.

No, I would say it is the Fin fans that are crying.

Fins dumped him.  But told him to wait around, in case they don't get a better offer for the prom.  He found another date.  And now everyone is crying cause he didn't wait around.  He then gets asked by the media why he didn't sit at home just in case the Fins decided to call him at the last minute. 

No question in my mind, that if BB tells Moss he will offer he might offer him a contract after the draft and that he should wait until then...that Moss won't be a Patriot next year.

What the Fins and Fin fans expect of JT is just totally unreasonable.

He didn't go into "If Parcells had left sooner".  That WAS the question.  If Parcells had left sooner do you think you would still be a Dolphin?  Taylor's response was "I think that horse is already dead, If you had to hold my hand over the fire and forced me to give you an answer I would have to say yes."

Not quite the same thing.  Yes he could have said "No comment".  He could have said any number of things.  What he said was pretty honest and pretty benign.  Ya'll are making more of it than there is.

Think what you want Pappy, but he opened the can of worms by saying anything other than "no comment".
