Sep 30 Offensive coordinator Dan Henning said that Brown has been "nicked," revealing Thursday that the running back dealt with a hamstring issue in Sunday's game against the Jets, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.

I made comment during the game we seemed to be using Ricky when I thought Ronnie would have been back. Ronnie returned but I'm betting something was causing him issues.

Berkeley, the way we spent every draft pick (except 1) on defense this pat year. Next year it would be nice to do the same thing on offense.

Get a RB, get a legit TE, a speed WR, get a 3rd down scat RB type. Add some depth to the o-line. Just go all out and revamp our offense.

I agree here.  The defense got their overhaul last draft.  Time for the offense to get theirs in this one.

The offense hardly needs an overhaul. Unless Henne is deemed "not good enough" (and not by Tepop), pretty much all the major pieces would seem to be in place: Quarterback, stud left tackle, stud wide receiver, speed receiver, slot receiver, solid fullback...

Sure, it is about time to get some solid running back talent, in case R&R break down (and for the future, in any case). Other than that, though...

I'd like to see Miami grab a "pedigreed" RB in the first three rounds next season...one that has "feature back" upside, rather than "platoon-fodder," and at least a couple of interior O-linemen. If we can get decent value on a developmental QB to back up Henne (or maybe replace him some day), that'll work as well.

I know Parcells isn't really that involved anymore (however, these are Parcells protege's making decisions now) -but isn't the Parcells school of thought on RB's that you never draft them in high rounds? I remember in Dallas it was Jerry Jones who wanted Julius Jones so high, and Parcells was happier with Marion Barber, who was a later pick, and saw more value in him. I know I've brought this up before (the first draft, when they took two RB's in later rounds).

I think that O-line is what makes 75% of RBs.  If you don't have holes, you can't run, no matter how good you are.  A good RB will be the difference between a yard here or there (and that's huge), but at this point, our run blocking hasn't been exactly stellar.

I'd be remiss if I didn't give a shout out to Lex Hilliard.  He hasn't had a lot of chances, but I think he's shown a lot of promise if the R&R express ever derails.

That one game against Carolina where he was backing up Ricky, I saw him take a draw on 3rd and 13 and scamper 16 yards.  This kid has some springs in his legs.  With Ricky and Ronnie both free agents after this season, don't be surprised to see Lex taking the handoffs from Henne next year.  But it wouldn't surprise me if they bring in some competition.

Lex can be a backup. I really don't relish the idea of him as a #1 back.

We do not have a speed WR. I'm sorry all of our WR's (including Marshall) are on the slow side. That isn't a knock against any of them, but just a fact. We need a burner to open up the field for us

That is his logic. But Parcells also gave the Jets a bunch of high draft picks to get Curtis Martin if I remember correctly. So...
