I'm still surprised at the level of vitriol for the Wildcat (and Henning in general), given that our run game as a whole has been unimpressive this season.

I think it's when he chooses to use the wildcat.  The wildcat doesn't allow for play action, so teams just stack the line against it.  To run it on 3rd and 6 is just absurd, unless it's something that you're going to be able to pass from or "add a wrinkle".  We've seen none of that this year.

This team needs to play with a sense of urgency and take shots down field when they are behind and they don't do that.

After these 2 games it's clear as day Miami is the third best team in the division and it's not even close. The jets were missing Revis, Jenkins, Pace, and holmes and still won by 8 on the road.

The pats last night were missing... Fred Taylor, Ty Warren, Leigh bodden, Kevin faulk, and Logan mankins and still whipped the floor with Miami. I gurantee you Miami couldn't survive with that many quality players being injured. The blame goes on parcells and that front office. It's mind boggling to see the gap in depth between these teams and the dolphins. I'll say it again I'm not sold on henne. The guy started 4 years at Michigan and his signature victory was the Capitol one bowl in 07 against the gators. I see a guy like Sam Bradford over in ST. Louis.. He has IT!!.. Miami shouldn't give up on Henne, but if he dosent progress this year they have to move on.

It's been a few days but I've been meaning to post in relation to this post since I first saw it, just now got a chance.  Anyways, while I'm not necessarily going to disagree with the first two sentences I've quoted by gocowboys, because as a 'Phins fan I have been disappointed in our overall play the past two weeks, particularly on defense where I thought we'd have a harder time offensively against the Jest (yes, the JEST) as well as obviously our *special* teams' *play*, I still don't agree that it's "clear as day" and "not even close" that Miami is the 3rd best team in the AFCE.  Again, while I'm not happy with our overall play these past two weeks and was terribly disappointed in Monday night's game as I'm sure all of us ('Phins fans) here were as well, I think in general we fought hard in the Sunday night game against the Jest and the plays were there to be made, I thought, against the Patriots, particularly offensively. 

While I agree with what I've seen fyo and others say in the weekly PT that no one team has been particularly impressive so far this season, I can't believe that some of y'all think NE is most certainly a "top 4" NFL team right now.  Guys, I'm sorry, but....*psst* their defense is garbage.  Yeah, I know, they're young and learning the system, and I believe that to be true, but it doesn't change the fact that--right now--I don't think they're very good defensively.....at all.  Henne's young and learning, I understand that, but if not for two bad decisions/throws on his part in the first half, I believe we would've been winning big like dolphins4life was saying in his post in another topic.  No, I don't think Henne was the SOTG (that dubious distinction goes to the *special* teams unit) and, no, I don't necessarily think it's automatic that we would've been leading 21-3 or -6 or whatever at the half, but I do think we would've really had them on the ropes where maybe that first KO return to start the 2nd half wouldn't have been as crushing as it was as opposed to only being up 7-6 at the time.

The original reason I was even wanting to respond to gocowboys statement was he acts like the 'Phins are completely healthy and not without any of their difference makers, either.  In the Jets game, we were without Odrick at starting DE, Crowder at one of the ILB positions, and Will Allen at CB, who I presume might have been starting potentially this season after losing the job to injury last year and Jason Allen *beating out* Sean Smith.  I think it's fair for me to use Will Allen since you happened to use Leigh Bodden for the Pats, who was also placed on IR and hasn't started all season, either.  We also didn't have Alama-Francis for the Jets game and were without John Jerry at starting G (can't remember which one, think it's RG).  In the Pats game, we were minus all those guys but Alama-Francis, who is trying to come back from an illness in which he lost 20 lbs. 

Look, I'm not trying to make excuses here, but if you're gonna use the example of how the Jets were missing these players as well as the Pats and so on, then don't act like we're completely healthy!  I know Revis is probably better than any of those guys for the 'Phins, granted, but don't act like it's not a big deal that we don't have one of your (college) team's alums out there playing ILB for us, because damn Bobby Carpenter and Dobbins are garbage, from what I've seen of them, and it's definitely affected our run D, even if Crowder can be a liability in pass coverage at times.
