No way thigpen gets in over pennington. Thigpen was put in last night because the game was so out of hand they didn't want to risk pennigton getting hurt.

I like Mike Florio, and read his site to get some news. But this is merely speculation on his part.

Look at it like this- after having a "breakout" game against the Jets, all kinds of people (NFL Network, ESPN, NFL Radio) were saying "The Dolphins finally have a QB". Then he has a bad game, and now everyone wants them to go to Thigpen? Ridiculous.

I don't want them to go to Thigpen.  I think they should give Henne more than one bad game where he was hamstrung by special teams before they bench him.

I disagree greatly with a move to Thigpen.  Henne had a bad game, for sure, but he's had a pretty good season and has showed some improvement.  On top of that, I don't think Thigpen is all that good.

Henne made a couple of bad passes last night for sure.  But you don't bench your QB over a handful of bad passes.  He wasn't even close to the reason why this game was lost.  You must stick with your young QB through the learning curve if you want him to be anything later.  This is the first time in years the Dolphins have a QB worth the effort of developing, and I'm excited to have the guy. 

He's not playing horribly at all, and has played pretty well within the offense presented to him.  Not everyone starts out their career like Tom Brady...most struggle the first couple of years until they figure it out.  I could read you a list a mile long of HOFers and ProBowlers who struggled mightily early in their careers, but it sounds like people need to do their own research learn a thing or two. 

He threw for 300 yards pretty effortlessly, but threw 2 bad picks in the first half so now we've got to bench him?  Sounds like some people have expectations that don't match up with reality.  This team is not supposed to be a Superbowl champ this year.  This is a team whose only goal should be to make it to the playoffs while learning how to play the game.

Henne is a young QB and QB's take time to develop. Remember, Drew Brees didn't come into his own until his free agent year. Aaron Rodgers spent like 3 years on the bench before getting a shot. Peyton Manning threw almost 30 INT's his first season.

I am not saying Henne will be great, but he is still learning. He has an excellent arm and his problems tend to come from holding onto the ball too long and having passes deflected at the line. You can't give up on him right now. One of his INT's last night wasn't his fault anyway.

Why does this remind me of a few years ago, when fans clamored for Kirby Freeman to start over Kyle Wright (UM), and he proceeded to put out 1 for 8 and 2 for 13 passing games?  Stick with Henne.  He has largely been successful when given the opportunity.

Do you really want the guy that was 2 of 6 for 15 yards with an INT and a passer rating of 2.8?  Henne had a bad game and was 29-39 for 302 yards 2 TDS and 3 INT's.  I seen a lot of games won with stats like that from the QB, course their special teams didn't give up 3 TD's in those games.

I read it as Thigpen is in the final year of his contract, Miami can't pay him what he will get on the open market to be a back-up. So maybe they want to throw him in a game somepoint soon if the wheels totally fall off our season to see if HE is our future and not Henne.

That's how I read the article at least. Who knows though

They should have used Thigpen for wildcat, he is a much better option than Pat White

I hate it for a guy like Thigpen.  He gets thrown in a game late, down by a bunch and gets knocked because he has a couple early overthrows.  No mention of how he ran well for a great first down, threw the ball down into the redzone where he hits his guy dead in the numbers but the receiver completely blows it and essentially creates an interception single handidly.  Then he doesn't get a second chance and ends up with misleading stats like this. 

He did two things particularly well.  He showed excellent run ability and he threw to the right guys.  You expect the first few passes to be overthrows in this situation and within just a couple of attempts he throws a perfect pass deep to a receiver who totally screws him.  All this guy does is come in and play with crappy guys in KC and makes them look good, then with crappy guys in preseason and makes them look good, then he comes in at the end of two games with little hope and immediately gives life to the offense. 

I am not saying anyone should be calling for Henne to be pulled in favor of Thigpen, but to say anything negative about Thigpen given his limited opportunities is also not called for.  At least Thigpen shows some guts out there and doesn't play it safe constantly, I am so freaking tired of the boring crap.  Boring crap wins lots of games and all, but it rarely gets you to the ultimate goal.

In August my wife and I moved to Nonthaburi, Thailand. Having been born in Fort Lauderdale in 1947, I have followed the Fins since their inception. The last two Tuesday mornings(Monday night football), I have watched a quarterback that Bill Parcells was disappointed in in preseason throw interceptions and destroy TWO GAMES. Chad Henne has got to go and the coaching staff has no excuses to keep playing him. Without the three interceptions in the NE game and the one the Jets game, maybe we could be 4-0. Tyler Thigpen was a decent quarterback in KC. He deserves the chance, Henne Has blown his. LISTEN TO PARCELLS SPARANO, HENNE HAS GOT TO GO!!!  Henry Wolfskill
