This morning, I was thumbing trough some old photos.."It's Me with a Beard! I look Fat....." I hate shaving,so I really loved my beard in the winter...A.) it was a nice windbreak in the winter b.) Less shaving!  When I first started this job, they really didn't like the idea of a beard, they didn't forbid me to grow it...Just heavily advised against it..Well that was 3 years ago,5 office managers later..I look horrid with no facial hair, like a big 12 or 13 year old..I'm thinking I might rock the beard again.....I go to court, but rarely if ever testify anymore...

So do you rock the facial hair?  You prefer stache only,Fumanchu stache,Goatee, just some chin hair...Beard only...Full Grizzly adams

I normally rock the full goatee. I grew the  full beard once and it just did not suit me.

I grow a beard about once a year, and generally it's only for about 2 months.  Then, when I cut it down, I usually leave some crazy facial hair for a day or two, like a funny mustache or trucker chops.

My wife hates facial hair a lot, but it's really one of the one things a guy can do to change his appearance.  I'm in a kickball league, so if we have a theme day that can use funny facial hair, I'll start growing and then shave down the full beard into the silly look.   I also don't like to go on sales meetings with a beard, if I can help it, so I'll shave down for that (or a formal event, sometimes.)

I used to have a sweet Abe Lincoln beard (for a long time), but then it grew so long that it looked Amish, because it was just the chinstrap.

I try to change things up regularly, from clean face to 'stache only to full goat to full beard. I find it really helps keep the Feds off your trail. Currently I'm rocking the "two day old shadow" look...as a way of telling the world "Hey, I'm cool, but I have some angst...but even my angst is cool"

Of course, being able to go from muppet-smooth to Grizzly Adams in two weeks really helps open up the all-you-can-wear facial hair buffet.

I usually will grow a goatee out whenever I have several days off from work - vacations and such, and then shave it off before returning back to work. I haven't done it since last year between Christmas and New Years. However, lately, even if i go two or three days without shaving, I've noticed a lot of my chin hair is white. And I mean white. So I think I will no longer be doing that.

Facial hair depends on the man.  Some of you look better with it, some of you look worse.

I mostly go clean shave, with the occasional winter / tax season beard being the main exception.  My wife likes the neat beard (kept short) but every year, it gets more gray hairs, which pisses me off...

One other exception:  Mustache March.  Every March, I grow some sort of crazy mustache as part of a competition here at work.  I can proudly say that I was the two-time champion, but can sadly say that I was de-throned last year.

I can't tell you how many times I have heard the "Daverham lincoln" Story.

I haven't been clean shaven (on my face  Shocked ) since 1993. I've had the two day not shaven look, the full beard, the goatee, & fumanchu.

I had been rockin the goatee for a while but recently shaved it off cause i got annoyed by it.  Recently, though, my office decided that we are all going to grow porn-staches for November.  So I'm currently working on developing a Wann-stache for work.

I'm glad someone brought up the Grey issue,I have as much white/grey in my goatee,as brown....I'm afraid I'll look a little like Santa clause with the full beard..I might have to use some just for men.... Cheesy I wont get into the grey superhero type logo on the chest hair... Cheesy My facial hair used to only turn grey when it got long, not it's grey from the get go....

I've had facial hair pretty much since I was 16 or 17 with the smallest peach fuzz milk mustache....(minus the few shaving accidents I can think of 3-4  Embarrassed )

I've got the full goatee....Clean in the middle under my lip...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movember

Movember (a portmanteau of the words 'moustache' and 'November') is an annual month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November. The event has been claimed to have been invented in 1999 by group of Australian men from Adelaide.

Since 2004, the Movember Foundation charity has run Movember events to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues, such as prostate cancer and depression, in Australia and New Zealand. In 2007, events were launched in Ireland, Canada, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

I say go for it.  I have some form of facial hair all year round.

March through early October I go with some form of mustache/goatee.  Then I stop shaving altogether until the following March.  Why?  Because it's cold as fuck up here and the beard means I rarely have to worry about windburn.

The mustache covers the scar on my upperlip from a childhood accident.

And the Mrs. likes it too.
