2011 NFC East Champions!

Old timers, I'm looking at you for some insight on this one.

The Killer B's, which were popularized during the Dolphin's 1982 Super Bowl run, was a group of 8 defensive players whose last names all started with "B". This unit was tough - holding 5 of their 9 opponents to 14 points or less in the strike-shortened 1982 season. Additionally, the Dolphins defense featuring these Killer B's allowed 13 ppg against both the Patriots and the Chargers in the 1982 playoffs (exactly 13 points to each opponent, each game).

Now for the part of the poll that involves you. Which one of these players was the worst one, the "weak link" of the Killer B's, if you will?

Vote and state your reason(s) why.

I voted for Kim Bokamper.

I hate him and his fat gut and his horrible pre-season sideline reporting skills every single year in August. Go away.

The end.

I voted Bill Barnett, because I don't even remember him being a part of the killer B defense.  I can't for the life of me remember a damn thing he ever did.  The rest I have memories of them playing.  If Barnett contributed, then maybe I'm just getting old and senile.

I voted for Bowser, because I've never heard of him and he only played 3 years.  But, this is way before my time, so I'm dangerously devoid of intelligent input.

We really need some of you 40+ year olds to partake here. Jim Gray? CF Dolfan?

Thanks for calling me out as being old.  I've been thinking about this, but haven't had time to go back and make a fair assessment.  With that in mind, I seem to remember that the Blackwood brothers seemed like great guys, but weren't very effective as safeties.  It's possible that this was late in their careers and I just remember them getting toasted when the defense couldn't stop anyone.

It was a toss up between Bowser and Barnett, just because I don't remember them at all.  I voted for Bowser, but in retrospect I should have voted for Barnett because I liked Bowser in Sha Na Na.  When's their next album coming out??
