How has your life changed since....April 1st 2007?

Please don't turn this into a political thread,about the Government,Political,etc,etc..Your life would be better if we wouldn't have elected,done this,supported,etc,etc..It's not that type of thread...


I've had a miserable few days at work lately,I never thought I'd be two fisting cellphones ...One cellphone totally screwed up, and I was carrying my old blackberry just in case.When I went to the blackberry,did something completely effn stupid,eventually breaking the Blackberry....

With it feeling like my world was going nuts,collapsing,going to hell in a hand basket,I met someone,a client,that made me realize how fragile my little world really was....I've not been able to stop thinking about him...A few years ago,he was married,kids,pretty good job,and well now he's in jail...

So I was thinking,about everything that has gone on the past few years....How has your life changed?

Have you bought/sold a new car? bought/sold/foreclosed house? moved? Gone back to school? changed jobs?Got married/Divorced? Had kids? Fulfilled something on your bucket list? lost weight,gotten healthier? Changed fields of employment?

How much different is your life today than it was on April 1st 2007?

For me...
Around that Time, I had fallen hard for a women,lost my job and was in the process of finding another...So since then....

*I sold the second truck I've ever bought..
*Been at the new job since May of 07 (waiting till they find some way to get rid of me at the present time...)
*Tried to buy a house,a few times,but failed.
*Back then I thought Adobe products (Photoshop/Illustrator/Aftereffects) were the top of the line,and I'd be continuely working in them...Now, I barley touch them, and almost exclusively into 3d modeling software.
*Lost nearly 100lbs,and figured out away to put all of them back on....
*I eat so much better today than I did back then...
* Unfortunately gotten more cynical view of the world
*Bought 2 different T.V.'s (also changed the Tech of the T.V.'s I bought),embraced High Def T.V (almost to the Point of being a High Def Snob), and Blu-ray
*Rebuilt/built my computer twice,Back then,I couldn't even imagine a computer like the one I have now...
*My relationships,with my sisters is all but gone...I rarely talk to them,and to be honest ..It doesn't bother me...
* I'm much more into the green movement,and how it can save me money.
*I'd rather watch a documentary on T.V. than a sitcom/drama...
* I buy tons more stuff online now, than I used too...Most of my newer stuff was bought online,rather than in a brick and mortar store...

My life is incredibly different.

I have been through incredible business turmoil.  I had to take over my business from my partner, where things got pretty bad, then I brought things back from the brink.  From there, I've turned my biz into a secondary job and have full time employment elsewhere.

I got married and my wife is knocked up (oh, by the way, my wife is knocked up).

My housing situation is very uncertain.  The property value is so upside down, that it's not worth paying on the loan.  I will eventually foreclose, but until then, I'm just riding it out.

I have started to get old.  My body is aging at a faster rate than it did 5 years ago.  I notice soreness in my joints after I exercise, body changes, etc.

I still work at the same place but I am a lot higher on the food chain than I was 4 years ago.
I still live in the same house however I am in the process of moving into a new one in the next few weeks that I plan on staying in for a long, long time.
I got married in June of 2009 to Mrs. AZ who I have been with since 2005.
My son just turned 16 and has started driving which is scary.
I am eating healthier and am more active than I was in 2007 but not where I want to be just yet so it is a work in progress.
The Mrs. and I are going to try having a child next year so I am kind of excited about that.
I lost my Stepfather to Cancer in October of 2009 and that has taken me a long time to recover from as it was my first real close family member to have passed.
We are toying with the idea of starting a small business but have a long way to go.

I got married and my wife is knocked up (oh, by the way, my wife is knocked up).

I haven't had much happen in my life at all. I have the same job, I drive the same car, I live in the same house, etc. I did start seeing someone fairly seriously, but that ended and I am not back to roaming around in the romance department. I did finally cut my hair though. That is the biggest change in my life. Is that sad?

I went back to school, got laid off from my job, did a semester internship at Disney and am getting married in just over 6 weeks.

On the sadder side, I've also lost my paternal grandmother in April of 2007 and my maternal grandfather in May of 2010.

F-it, I'll bring it up....I have to admit, that guy made me think about my world more,and how it has changed...To Bring it to TDMMC,there is a group of us that joined in late 2004,and thinking it's now 2011.While we may feel we haven't changed, we're all different.I find it interesting how some of us have changed.

I'm sorry for calling people out 

Maine is a perfect example,either he had just gotten married,or about to get married,then the birth of his daughter,and the way his career has changed...All since he's been on the board..

Dave Gray,was single met his future Mrs Dave,gotten married,and now has a kids...All since he's been on the board

Brian - Met Sportschick, and now about to get married...all since he's been on the board...

I thought it was interesting...sorry for bringing it up....
