Adam Schefter just reported Hasselbeck just agreed to terms with Tenn.

ESPN also reporting Minny will acquire McNabb for TWO 6th round picks if McNabb agrees to a pay cut (he will).

So you have Arizona and Miami fighting for Orton and Kolb.

I really don't see Miami going hard after Kolb. It's too risky and not sure we would want another bust from the Eagles.

I'd prefer if we didn't "go after" either of them.  I don't think either of them provide a huge upgrade, and just the next bum in the 19-guy-long line of post-Marino bums.  And both of them will cost us big-time picks (Philly is asking for a 1st rounder!).

SportsCenter is reporting there is a preliminary agreement in the McNabb trade.

Thank you Tennessee and Minny. Now can someone please hurry up take Kolb so that Miami can't get him.

^^^ That was sort of my feeling also....The downside to me,I thought it would Arizona making a move for a Qb (trading for Kolb,Orton,Etc,Etc) that would send all the dominoes in motion...Seattle getting T.Jackson,Mcnabb to the Vikings,Thigpen to Buffalo, and Arizona still hasn't played their hand, makes me feel like we'll end up getting Vince Young...(sorry Gag reflex)

The entire FA QB class (including McNabb, Orton, and Kolb) are turds.  None of these guys are franchise QB's or they would be staying put.  Personally, I'd rather stick with Henne and see if he improves.

Brian, Kolb and Orton aren't free agents...We'd have to trade for them....

I live in the Titans market, and I can't understand how they let Vince Young go.They argued for a year about Fisher v Young but the numbers don't lie,the Titans won when he played........love to see him in Miami.Hasselbeck will look like a Kerry Collins clone in that offense......and they're going nowhere.

Adam Schefter on Twitter:
Dolphins and Broncos engaged in trade talks that would send Kyle Orton to Miami. Both teams would like to make it happen.

I would take Orton over Kolb anyday but I am not overly excited about that either. Philly is about to rob AZ blind for DRC and a draft pick for Kolb who has proved nothing in this league. Another in the long line of shitty AZ QB's as well. They could go and get Orton for a 3rd round pick and to me he is definitely the better of the two. I guess if it came down to it being as I am a Fins fan first I would rather Orton be in Miami then Kolb but I would have to suffer watching Kolb here in AZ!!!!

To be fair, he's also the best quarterback we've had since Marino. No, one season of Pennington doesn't get him the spot, IMHO.

I don't dispute that (I think I recently linked an article that argues that Fiedler is the third best Dolphin QB of all time), but I think that speaks more to the ineptitude of Miami QBs not named Griese (excuse me, BOB Griese) or Marino.

My point is that it wasn't THAT long ago that we got to enjoy the experience of a QB who "just wins" while doing very little to actually contribute towards that win.  It wasn't fun.  I'm not looking for the next Mark Sanchez.
