^Right.  I can see Tom Brady telling Haynesworth to please stop stepping on people's head.  We'll see how that one turns out.

I was thinking Wilfork would be the one to keep Haynsworth in line.  Brady will take care of Ocho.  Thing is the NEP locker room has a culture and norm.  It is not one guy trying to keep these two in line it will be 51 guys.

Winning cures everything.  No one complains when you're 10-0.

that said, when will the league wisen up and stop trading with the Patriots.  You NEVER walk away with the better deal.  The Patriots trade down 50 times every draft and end up with 370 picks in next year's draft.  Coming soon, there will be a draft where the Patriots have 32 first round picks.  Stop trading with the Patriots, PLEASE!

You also have to remember that they didn't give up a whole lot for these guys. If things start going bad, they're out the door (just ask Randy Moss about that one)

Say what you will but I think Ochowhatevernumbero (we don't know yet) is going to have a great season in NE.

Exactly.  Ochocinco cost NE a a 2012 fifth-rounder and a 2013 sixth-rounder.  Can anyone honestly say you have a better shot at finding a quality WR with those two picks than the chances that Ocho will adapt to the environment around him.

Haynesworth cost 2013 5th round pick.  Seriously you think you can find a better DL man in the 5th round?  You might find a guy who works harder or is more dedicated.  But Haynesworth as he is is better than most guys avaialbe in that round when they give 100%.

Plus Wilfork, Welker, Brady.  NEP is not lacking for strong role model leadership.

I have to agree here. I just don't think that it's a character issue. I think Chad's talent isn't what it used to be. -EK

You're asking the wrong questions.  What you should be asking is:

Can Cincinnati find more impactful personnel than Ochocinco relative to his cap number in those two spots combined?
and
Will Washington be better off with a 2013 5th round pick, or with nothing?

Keep in mind that a lot of players were going to be cap casualties anyway.  If Miami could have gotten something for Crowder, it wouldn't really matter what that thing was because it's still Better Than Nothing.

The really puzzling move, to me, was NO signing Sproles.  Just as you think they've cleared up their logjam in the backfield, they go out and get more logs.

That depends on which side you are looking at it.  And that is why the trades made sense from both sides.  All three teams improved as a result of the trades.  NE picked up two players that represent low downside, high upside that may show dramatic improvement in a different environment.   It is still an open question if Haynesworth will have a Moss style turnaround.  There is no question that if he remained in Washington he would not.

As much as people claim BB raped Al with the Moss trade, fact is Davis had a choice the 4th round pick or nothing.  Its not like if he had kept Moss he would have gotten to watch him break Rice's record in Oakland.
