I think Miami wanted out of him.

I think he wanted big bucks, and couldn't get it.  I think he thought he was better than he is.

Wow I was kind of surprised he took this on to be a backup and probably not a focal point of the offense with all the weapons they have. I would have thought he would have gone to the Rams where he would have gotten more touches.

At $1M for a year (plus incentives), he's pretty close to vet minimum. At that level, I wish we could've kept him. However, it looks like he took less money to go to the Eagles:

It's hard to believe he [Ronnie Brown] couldn't find a place that would offer more money and more carries than he is likely to get with the Eagles. In fact, the Miami Herald reported that the Chargers, Ravens and Rams all wanted Brown, and that Brown took less money to come to the Eagles. A source close to the situation said that was the case.

^^^^ I don't think St. Louis has near as many weapons on offense as Philly and I believe he would have had a bigger role on the Rams.

Steven Jackson tears an ovary by week 4 every year.  Ronnie would be the starting back for 3/4 of the season.
