No doubt, a healthy Steve Smith is a very good receiver. A healthy trio of DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Steve Smith is just downright scary. Add in Vick and LeSean McCoy, and that offense could be epic. And, once the Eagles have ya down by 2-3 scores, you get to try to play catch-up against the drool-worthy trio of corners, Nnamdi Asomugha, Asante Samuel and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Yeah, good luck with that...

This bothers me, because Lord knows that Philadelphians don't need any further excuse to be obnoxious. I have the Phillies picked to win another WS title this year, and now it looks like the Eagles have to be considered one of the favorites to win the SB...those fans could become unbearable.

The Eagles WON'T be great this upcoming season. But NEXT year watch out.

Too many new guys to get on the same page in too short amount of time. A  year from now they will be ready to rock and roll

I hear ya, and can even appreciate factoring in the time necessary for the individual units to develop the type of cohesive execution that allows for instinctive, rather than mechanical, play. I think that on the defensive side of the ball, that timeframe might be a little shorter than expected, since all three of the "stud" players that were added to the mix, Nnamdi, Babin and Jenkins are all considered to be very smart players, and smart players tend to adapt more quickly. I think if the Eagles are going to hit any rough patches, it will be early on, and by about midway through the season, standard health-disclaimer applied, I expect they'll be looking pretty damned good.

They may not be on the same page in week 1, but they certainly should be by, say, week 15.

If they make it into the playoffs (which shouldn't be too hard in the NFC East), they will be an extremely dangerous team.
