2011 NFC East Champions!

« on: August 29, 2011, 07:40:57 am »

He's the worst kind of reporter: One-sided and biased.

One long bomb to a wide-open streaking WR down the field is something passers learn during QB 101 class, which is exactly what Henne did to Marshall on Saturday. All 32 NFL starting QBs and a whole lot of back-ups could have, should have, and would have made that exact same throw.

One big pass to a wide open receiver in preseason or 3 TDs in a training camp scrimmage doesn't mean that Henne is "vastly improved" or that he's worth a damn as a QB.

Yet - once again - he pops up when it's convenient and somehow gets paid for this. It's very annoying and lob-sided.

He's going to get killed against the Patriots and he's going to get killed against the Jets and everyone will be calling for his head. Just keep that in mind as you read his latest bullshit "article".

Here's what he's referring to.

http://www.miamidolphins.com/news/andy-cohen-more-evidence-henne-vastly-improved

The one thing I found interesting in this article and has been touched on in others is Sparano's mindset change. According to several sources he realized exactly what many of the folks on these forums have been complaining about for several years, that the Dolphins offense was WAY too conservative. Sparano seems to have seen the light and the light he saw may have just been the headlight of the oncoming train if he didn't step off the tracks.

Here's a thought. Everyone gave a lot of crap to Mr Ross for going out and looking for a replacement for Sparano and then resigning him, but perhaps that little look in the mirror is EXACTLY what Sparano needed. Sure maybe Sparano saw the light on his own and maybe someone like Mr Ross had to shine the light into his eyes.

Pretty sure Andy Cohen is employed by the Dolphins.  Not sure what you expect from him...

I agree with OP, Andy Cohen is terrible.  Not living in FLA I used to subscribe to the Dolphins Digest and he was an UBER HOMER.  He was so far up Wanny's butt that it was ridiculous.  I can't recall a single objective article he ever wrote.

He's paid by the Dolphins to write about the Dolphins.

You want objectivity, read a newspaper.

Who reads anything put out by the team for objectivity? That is like saying commentary programs on cable are the news.

The guy is horrible.  He is almost as one sided and biased as Michael Eisen.

No, Michael Eisen.

He is the NY Giants equivalent of Andy Cohen.   Wink  I think every team has one or two.

I can't even find a reference to Michael Eisen anywhere except to the biologist. Guess he's a big name in some circles. Smiley

Without a doubt!  Leave the guy alone, he is just doing his job.

Even the newspaper has to be looked at with a bit of skepticism.  They have an interest in pulling emotional strings in order to keep you as a consumer of their product.  So while they are one of the better sources of info, you still have to keep in mind that they are in business to sell advertisements.  They don't sell ads by being boring.

The Dolphins in house reporter doesn't rate a Wiki entry either....

^^ Well at least his article on Henne showed up in a Bing search on the first page. Took 3 pages to find an article from Michael Eisen on the Giants. Smiley
