Shoot...I'd take the thousand bucks, tell Miami "Thanks for the gumball, Mickey!" and be on my merry way.

I would take the guaranteed knowing the record of a team for three years in advance.  Heck my choice is to know for absolute certain the outcome of one game in advance or $1000.  I take the guarantee.  Hello Vegas.

I don't hate the Jets like Miami Dolphins fans do.

But I don't necessarily like them either. They're such wanna-be's to me. They don't have enough trouble-makers like the Oakland Raiders in their prime, they don't have enough talent like the Patriots in their prime, they don't have enough swagger like UM or Baltimore's Defense in their prime...they're like the little annoying fly on the wall that you just want to smash but it gets away every time.

How much money would it take for you to wear...A Jets hat out in public for at least 4 hours? Have you picture taken in the Hat? How about a jets jersey? (same circumstances as the hat)

...depends on who's asking and how badly he wants me to do it.  That dictates how much I can milk out of him.

I found it cheaper on the internet

I'd MUCH rather have the Jets lose 3 straight seasons than 1,000 bucks.  Maybe 5 Gs and I'd start considering, I'm a lot cheaper than Spidey.

Identical records for the Dolphins and Jets?  I'd be happy with 8-8.  Why?  Everyone who's bought into their hype would be sorely disappointed with a 9-7 record.  Even more so with one less win than that.  Our team is pretty much a .500 team +/- a win or two.

I initially thought a 4-12 record for both would be acceptable since no one's given us a shot anyway and the Jets would SURELY collapse for the next decade but I like the 8-8 thought better because I don't want our team to be a legitimate suck.

Flow of unfavorable to detestation.

Now that I think of it, screw 8-8 I'll take 6-10 for both!!!

I can't believe so many people can be purchased so easily. Let the Jets lose for that amount of money.

I'd take the guaranteed Jets' losses, and then go put a grand on the team they're playing every week in Vegas.

Win win!

$1000.00 really is not that much money....I would rather watch the Jets go 0-48 for 3 years.

To wear an article of Jets clothing for 3 hours in public, like Brian stated above, it would depend on who was offering the deal and how desperate they were so I could make the most out of it...but it would not take much for me to do it for 3 hours of embarrassment.

I'm not sure you guys could make as much money from Vegas as you are expecting... unless you know of somewhere that will take bets on straight up win/loss without a multi-team parley, you're betting against the spread.  And by week 8 of the first season, NYJ would never be a favorite again.  (You could probably make a good chunk over the first five weeks or so, though.)

Anyway, 48 consecutive losses provides more than $1000 worth of entertainment to me.  It's the gift would that keep on giving for the rest of my life.  It's the opposite of 19-0, but even better.

Miami could honestly go 2 - 14 for the rest of my life, as long as those 2 wins are against the Jets

and of course the Jets never winning the Super Bowl

(I'm a Dolphins and Mets fan..a lot of orange, and a lot losing is in my nature..I made peace with the fact that I'll probably never see a title)

I wear my "J-E-T-S SUCK! SUCK! SUCK!" shirt under my jersey every Sunday..

I root for the Patriots and Bills when they play the Jets

point of the story..I loathe the Jets more than any franchise in the history of the NFL

As for me, if I had to pick matching records for MIA and NYJ, I'd pick 10-6.  I'm actually proud of MIA's all-time lead in winning percentage, and I'd like to keep that.
