If you could choose the Dolphins winning 11 games this year OR the Jets LOSING 11, which would you take?

I think I would go with the Jets losing 11.

I really hate Rex Ryan.  I hope the Cowboys smash them and I detest the Cowboys!!!

I would choose the Jets losing 11 and the Dolphins winning 12.  There isn't a team in the NFL I loathe more than the Jets, with the Pats a close second.

Here's another question:

If you could pick any record for the Dolphins, under the condition that the Jets had the same record, what would you pick?

I hate the Jets as much as the next guy but but I would rather see us win than them lose. I always appreciate a Jets loss but if it comes at the expense of the Phins losing than I have to go for us to win everytime.

14-2 both of the Jets losses coming from the Phins therefore the Phins are the better team!!!!!  Wink

I'll take Miami winning games over the Jets losing.

I would love to see the Jets and Dolphins have an identical 13-6 record (including postseason).  It would be nice to see the Jets finish the season 11-5 (good for # 5 seed), while the Dolphins finish 10-6 and claim the last playoff spot.  I would want to see the Jets and Dolphins then win two road games to reach the AFC championship game, which the Jets would host.  The media frenzy in NY would be unbelievable.  Jet fans would be popping the champagne bottles and celebrating the entire week.  Then in the AFC championship game, the Dolphins bitch slap the Jets in the middle of a blizzard and in front of 85,000 Jet fans and do something that the Jets couldn't do the last 2 seasons -- win 3 road games to reach a Super Bowl.  This scenario would be extra sweet if it occurred during the season that NY/NJ is hosting the Super Bowl.

Choice: $1000 cash OR the Jets lose every game for 3 seasons in a row.

At the end of the AFC Championship game, both teams would be 13-6 but Miami would have one more game to play, which would necessarily mean that they won't have the same final record.

Furthermore, I guess I should include two stipulations:

1) You don't get to pick which games you win, only the win total
2) As such, I didn't really intend to include postseason, as it's nearly impossible to engineer two teams playing the same number of postseason games without picking which games they win

That number isn't high enough to even make this an interesting decision.

Add a zero and we're having a discussion.

These type of decisions that involve me,are super simple...Take the money and run....I rarely if ever run into jets fans,If I do they tend to be the young bandwagon jumper type that don't realize it's should a dual to the death upon sight.... Cheesy

There are several ways for the Jets and Dolphins to have an identical record at the end of the post season but in none of them can the Dolphins win the superbowl.

1. Both teams end the regular season with the same record and both miss the playoffs.

2. Both teams have identical records.  One team win the division; one team is the wild card.  Wild card team beats the division winner the AFCCG and loses in the superbowl.

3.  Both teams make the playoffs with identical records and lose during their first play off game.

4.  Both teams make the playoffs with identical records and win one game and lose the second game.

My ideal standings would be Miami and NY Jets 14-2, Bills 6-10, pats 1-15, so you can see who i hate the most.

Shoot...I'd take the thousand bucks, tell Miami "Thanks for the gumball, Mickey!" and be on my merry way.
