The nicest thing about Ginn this year...he took a major pay cut ($2.2 mil to $1 mil) a couple of weeks ago in order to stay in SF. I'm sure most of that was realization that he wouldn't make much more (if any at all) by leaving as a free agent, but anything that frees up money to add more talent to the roster is OK by me.
The value of a kick returner has gone down significantly with this year's rule changes.
The premise of that argument is valid...though I'd like to wait 2-3 weeks to compare premise to actuality. Lord knows, I saw a lot more return men taking the ball out from "deep" in their own end zone in week one, and it certainly didn't seem like we had a shortage of return TDs this weekend.
