2011 NFC East Champions!

« on: September 20, 2011, 10:56:35 am »

Man, have the Dolphins taken a pounding on these boards the last week!

But, believe it or not, I think that there are five teams that are actually worse than the Dolphins - and I just don't mean from a W/L standpoint either. So, at worst, the Dolphins are the sixth-worse team in the NFL.

Here are your least-five:

1. Kansas City
10 points in two weeks and three main cogs of their team out for the year. Their team looks completely horrible, which shows that they were a fluke last season. This team is bad and Todd "I got lucky to become a Head Coach because I'm really an average co-ordinator to begin with" Haley may be the first coach to be fired.

2. Seattle
All I can say is: "Pathetic". You think that Chad Henne isn't the answer? Count your blessings that Tavaris Jackson isn't your QB.

3. Indianapolis
I think we all know why this is the case.

4. Minnesota
Donovan McNabb had like 30 yards passing in Game 1 and the Vikings blew a lead in Game 2. They are not a good offensive football team right now (27th in total offense) and also 21st in total defense. And, they're 0-2.

5. Cincinnatti
Even though they won in week 1 (barely), they are your father's and probably your grand-father's Bengals, still. They are completely terrible, IMO.

So, there you go.

^^^Well KC is on the schedule this year.  Are you thinking about updating your prediction of the Fins going 0-16??

1. Kansas City
2. Seattle
3. Indianapolis
4. Minnesota
5. Cincinnatti
I'll give you a couple more that are close if not worse than the Dolphins:

1. St. Louis: Lost bad to Philly and NYG who aren't bad but not as good as NE and Houston.
2. Carolina: Lost to Arizona and Green Bay.
3. Cleveland: Lost to Cincy, beat Indy.
4. San Francisco: Beat Seattle, lost to Dallas.
5. Denver: Lost to Oakland, beat Cincy.

Miami was worse at home last year than they were on the road. Cleveland is beatable. If we don't win this week, then things will be bleak, but a win will right the ship.

Miami's taking a pounding on the boards lately, but just wait til they win a couple. The "positive" people will have 'em winning the division and in the playoffs once more. Wink

Aside from both teams currently using "placeholder QBs," I don't see a lot that these teams have in common. I also don't see Miami finishing within 2 games of SF in the final standings.

Matt Cassel > Chad Henne (Only one > symbol). So, no.

FWIW, ESPN says there are seven.

Possibly, but then San Fran doesn't play in the AFC East either. If they did I don't think they'd finish higher than the Fins.

After today, is there any team worse than the fish? Another disappointing loss! So sad too! Team needs a new QB and a new coach most of all!

Thinking's healthy...and thinking about hypothetical situations that can't ever be proven or disproven is painless.

After today, I might put Miami at the bottom of the list as well... Who knows, maybe whoever the new regime is that replaces Ireland/Sparano will have a shot at Andrew Luck after all...

Nope!  God will prove he hates Miami and allow Indy to get the # 1 pick, so in three years they may succeed Peyton Manning with Andrew Luck.  It's fated that the team with a horseshoe as its emblem would luck into a guy named Luck.

I swear, you can't write this stuff...

^^^ I was gonna say something snarky about that, but then realized that my Niners did basically the same thing, going from Montana to Steve Young...so I'll just put a cork in it. Wink

Yes, but we have angered him in the intervening years...

Sorry, I'm in a sullen mood...

I think Minnesota are alot better than 0-3....KC and Indy will give us a run for the worst record this season.
