I would've been OK with him, but I didn't want him specifically.  I was kinda "whatever".  My only concern is that we used to not lose out on coaches...we got our man.  Now, it seems that we're 2nd fiddle.

I dunno. I read some places where he's the guy we need and others say he's gonna be a bust here. Put me on the fence because I would have no idea how he would do here.

I'm more upset over the willingness to keep the one thing that's holding this team back. The GM. There's no way a proven coach would serve under the Ross/Ireland regime.

If Joe Philbin's son didn't die I wouldn't be upset, but with that probably taking him off the table. And if we hire him now that is just odd to be honest. This guy has to be a wreck and I would not hand over a football team to him right now.

We are left with either Bowles (oh god no) or Zimmer. Who seems like just a good assistant who has few ties to other quality assistants, it would be more on the job training with a rookie head coach and would struggle to put together a staff and such.

We have no interviews scheduled with anyone right now. Fisher has a staff assembled. Jax and KC are putting theirs together as we speak. All the good assistants will be gone by next week. Tampa Bay is interviewing everyone under the sun and will make a decision probably by Monday.

Who's left to interview? Brian Schotenimer? Chud? Or do you wait till the Packers or Saints lose and go after one of their guys in about a month month most likely?

There is literally nobody out there to talk too that will do much to inspire any confidence in anything

I was OK with Fisher and would be OK without him barring we got a decent coach in here. But if it comes down to some schmuck coordinator/first time head coach from another team or some loser coach like Mangini I would have much rather had Fisher.

Yes. I wanted a coach with NFL HC experience with at least some success. Fisher seemed to be the last one available that fit that discription. Now he's gone, so I guess we go with an unproven. I have too much of a bad taste in my mouth from the last 3 (or 4) unproven head coaches that Miami has had and not enough faith in Ross and Ireland to believe they'll find a decent one.

Fisher would have been decent. I'll take that after what we have had around here lately.

Add in the fact I don't like that we kept Ireland and I feel the same way.

THIS

I would have been ok with Fisher, but deep down I had a feeling that it wasn't going to happen. Miami's gonna need a puppet coach as their next hire.

So Zimmer is the man? The Dallas losers pipeline continues goddamn was Fasano the best of that lot?  Why the blind allegiance to Ireland? it's getting as bad as Wanny & Fiedler. Would like to see them raid packers assistants I'm about 15 min. from G.B. it would be a nice change of pace. The NFL has become a offensive league about time we get a offensive minded regime in there. Chud or Saints guy would be OK as well. Billick would be nice but doubt he giving Dumbo back his 40 million.

As a huge all-in fan.  I'm upset with the seemingly lack of commitment to the fans by Ross.  You played Hokey-Pokey with Harbaugh, your in, your out, and it fell apart. All the while you managed to treat Sporano like trash, when it seemed he had rallied his team towards the end of the year, you fired him.  Now you tell us your going to make a big name splash in the coaching market, only to lose him with to your loyalty to Ireland.  C'mon man!  What are you holding onto?  7-9?  I'm tired of the Dolphins being 8-8.  Pull the God damned trigger on something!  Make the decision you said you wanted to make!  Dont Half ass everything. l I just hope Ireland was Worth it, I really do.

NFL gm's are a dime a dozen most knowledgeable fans could do at least as good if not a better job than these clowns. Spielmann has resurfaced in Minnesota unbelievable that faggot is a complete moron it's all political ( round & round we go) as for Ireland Dallas has drafted better talent since he left with jerry's kid at the helm. Keeping him instead of getting a "respected" coach is insane. I hope we get lucky with a young offensive mind  but the whole damn city is soft (hey it's 80 & sunny every day) We need a cold calculated task master Sparano w/ a brain kinda of what Fisher is.  You have to wonder what the love affair w/ Ireland is all about? 3 straight losing seasons for the 1st. time in our history doesn't sound like a abundance of talent he's hit on 1 skill player in the draft VD ( he sticks with his man for life). The 3 "superstars" Bush,Marshall,& Dansby are all overrated overpaid prima-dona's..

I was cool with him coming here since I saw what positives he could have brought us but at the same time I'm cool with him not coming here since I can see the negatives.

So I guess I really don't care since it's more of a "meh" sentiment.
