Semi a comment about the Patriots, but more a comment about how long it takes to rebuild and had it relates to the Dolphins and other teams who are building.

There will be seven players who wore NE jerseys for SB42 that will be playing for NE in this upcoming superbowl.

Tom Brady
Kevin Faulk
Stephen Gostkowski
Matt Light
Logan Mankins
Wes Welker
Vince Wilfork

New England in essense rebuilt the entire team (other than a few very good players) over the course of four years.  It isn't "essentailly the same team repeating."

It certainly suggest than any team should be able to build/rebuild in a four year period.

With the Gaints it is 15, which is still only a fraction of the team.

I would agree except...well, I don't. The two biggest pieces to any successful team didn't change for either of those examples: head coach and QB. -EK

If I was shooting for "more accurate," I might title this thread

"The time it took New England to rebuild."

If I was going for a perfect score on title accuracy, I'd go with

"The time it took New England to retool around its elite QB, head coach and small core group of players."

Bottom line...if you have outstanding coaching and personnel evaluators, and an elite franchise QB, the time it takes to rebuild a winning team is much less than if you don't have those things.

Yeah, give me all of those pieces and I can "rebuild" a team instantly, too.
