You're the International Chairman of Sports Rules...You're allowed to make 3 rule changes.

You can take any rule currently from another sport, and make another sport adopt that rule.
OR
You could make one rule that Applies to all sport

(Example =No game can have a regular season over 50 games,No series to determine a champion, has to be 1 game take all)

(Major sports only please,no naked frisbee golf rules applied to the Beach Volleyball,or All womens athletics have to be played in the buff)

You can only change three rules

Mine I think would be....
1.) NFL to MLB - Instant replay,I'm not real sure about balls and strikes, but some of the calls this year have been horrendously bad.

2.) MLB to NFL - The disabled list/40 man roster (in the NFL 's case a 53 man roster) Have a 2 or 4 week disabled list, where you can bring a guy up from the practice squad without having to cut a guy,or putting them on injured reserve,etc...

3.) No sport can have a regular season more than 75 games...

1.  NFL -> MLB -- allowing different players on offense and defense.  In essense I would expand the designated hitter rule from one player to 9.

2. MLS -> NFL -- no timeouts (clock stopage only out of bounds, change of possession, penalities, injuries, etc, but not for the purpose of more commericals)

3. Mens swimming/water polo -> Womens swimming/water polo -- played topless.   Smiley

There are two rules for success:
 1. Never tell everything you know.

1.  MLB -> NBA  --   Kids can opt to go pro out straight out of high school.  If they choose to go to college, they must wait three years before they can turn pro.

2.  NCAA Football -> NFL --   Kansas Tiebreaker overtimes.  Only one foot needed inbounds for a sideline catch.  Pass interference is 15 yards, not spot of foul.

3.  NBA -> NFL  --   Teams can exceed the salary cap to re-sign their own free agents.  Teams can also execute "sign and trade" deals and the signing bonus/guaranteed money counts against the new team's cap.

NCAA Basketball ----> UFC -- instead of match-making to determine opponents, moving to a ladder system to determine next contender
NFL ---> MLB -- salary cap
European Soccer ---> Multiple divisions that move you up and down depending on your standing the year prior.

NCAA Basketball ----> NCAA Football: Postseason Tournament selection with 16 teams.

NFL ----> NBA: 3 time outs per half

Universal: Head Coaches/Managers will no longer be fined or disciplined for commenting on officiating.

Honorable mention: NFL -----> MLB: Managers/Coaches are now banned from wearing team uniforms. League approved team apparel only.

I'm amazed that no one has noticed the most obvious choice:

NFL -> NCAA: Postseason playoff system

I like the DL instead of IR from Lil B and I also like the re-sign their own free agents rule.  I hate the idea of changing to 1 foot in for a sideline catch.  That's terrible.
