... (Tebow) will be on an island by himself to fail in front of the world.

Since he is God's chosen champion (the Oracle of YouTube said so), would that mean if Tebow fails, we can chalk up a victory for atheists everywhere?

If they start Tebow it is gonna be outstanding! Truly outstanding. Because unlike last year he has NO RB's to bail him out. No elite kicker to make big 50+ yard kicks to bail him out. No good WR's to bail him out on his awful passes.  He will be on an island by himself to fail in front of the world.

Seriously what kind of person longs for the failure of others so vehemently? At least when I talk about RT, am noting what he's DONE, not the bad things I hope befall him. -EK

I root for the failure of the the Bills, Jets, and Pats each week as well as the players on those teams. It's sports

I also root against and for the failure of the the Red Sox, Mets, Georgetown basketball, Notre Dame, Heat, Celtics, Islanders, Devils, Duke and UCONN hoops and a few other teams and their players.

I'm a sports fan and I root against (and for the failure) of other teams and their players. Sorry.

The Jets are in big trouble.  Santonio Holmes is done for the season.  The Jets are so desperate for running back help that they signed...... LEX HILLIARD

What is Tebow going to do? He will have less weapons than he had in Denver, and he will not be able to surprise anyone with his running this year.

He's going to get exposed, that's what.  Exposed as the type of player he really is; a running back playing quarterback.

I actually laughed out loud at this.

Tebow has had so many chances to get exposed it isn't funny. Now that he is on a horrible team that has no weapons on offense but him ... Yes!!!!  He will finally get exposed at last!!

I'm betting there were people who were saying that about Marino after the last Jax game .... "See Ethel .... I told you that boy wasn't any good!!! " LOL.

I'm curious ... If he was to win in NY with nothing else to go on ... would anyone flip? Yea ... I didn't think so.

So now Tebow haters are like people who hated on Dan Marino.

Both are transcendent, legendary icons of the NFL who are unquestionably among the very best to ever play.  And those who disagree are just blinded by irrational hatred.

Now with Santonio Holmes lost for the season the Jets are in big trouble.  Saw a list of their remaining receivers and I didn't recongnize a single name, I think they now have worse receivers than the Fins.

Yes. That's... exactly ..what.. I.. said.

People said:
- He wouldn't get drafted or wouldn't get drafted until later rounds
- He would never play QB in the NFL
- He would never win a game in the NFL
- He would never beat a quality team
- He would never get to the playoffs
- He would never win in the playoffs

If people keep predicting failure sooner or later it will happen.  That doesn't mean they were always right but if it makes them feel better ... so be it. He's already proven most people wrong and made them adjust their failure scale regardless of if he ever throws another pass again.

LOL, not even going to dispute that- but he's still not as bad as people are making him out to be. His career numbers are comparable to those guys I listed. Lot of teams would kill for a QB like that. -EK

Just read on Fox sports website today an interview that Joe Thieseman gave to a radio station (tried linking here but couldn't get it to work), where he totally ripped Romo.  Said he wasn't a very good QB, and the Cowboys need to replace him.

If I'm Ryan, I let Sanchez try and play his way through this slump.

His slump... also known as "his career".

He has a career passer rating of 73, never had a season above 80! Consistently fumbles 10 times a year. And he's thrown almost as many interceptions as touchdowns.

The only thing that has saved him is his post-season success. Some would argue that's EVERYTHING and, on a time team-wide basis, I completely agree, but playing well in a few post-season games, but poorly overall, isn't an indicator of future good play (of any kind).

Theisman gave the same commentary on Mike and Mike. The immediate on-air reaction? "He sounds like a bitter Redskins alum who can't look at this objectively." -EK

Maybe it is just me, but it bothers me to hear these retired QB's bad mouthing current QB's. If you don't have anything good to say, STFU. While saying he had a bad game or needs this or that is one thing. To say he (Romo) needs replaced is going too far IMO.

You never hear that sort of thing from Marino, Warner or others. Thiesman has been popping off for years.
