My Shame of the Game goes to defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle.  His unit, particularly the secondary, made Andrew Luck look like a Pro Bowler and gave up over 400 passing yards.

Honorable mentions to Sean Smith for misplaying two key critical interceptions and Jake Long for getting beat constantly by Dwight Freeny.  I wouldn't mind seeing both gone next year.  Long is clearly not what he used to be and his play no longer justifies his huge contract.  Smith is so big and uncoordinated that he constantly gets turned around and loses sight of the ball.

Sean Smith. The long TD pass, the missed tackle on third down by their end zone and the last interception that he dropped as he tried to get up.  Any one of these plays could have changed the game.

^ You must pick only one person for your vote to be counted.

I choose Sean Smith.

This might be the easiest S.o.t.G. made all season.  Sean Smith was particularly awful today.  When he wasn't allowing TDs, he was dropping INTs, or missing tackle after tackle.  The defense was horrible as a whole, but Sean Smith was the clear ring leader in suckitude today.

The defense is not eligible for the goat trailer.  Please pick one name.

Easily Sean Smith with a nod to Jake Long. I hate seeing their names, particular Long's, so many times after these games. I think Sean has really developed this year and this might have just been a brain fart game (how do you seriously drop two very easy INTs?). Jake, on the other hand, and I've been saying this since preseason, is gonna get Ryan killed out there.

Sean Smith... but the scary thing is, he still played significantly better than Wilson and Carroll.

This truly looked like the Dolphins of the recent (frustrating) past, complete with complete inability to stop third and long, complete short touch passes to open receivers, and general coverage of anyone playing tight end. The O-line and D-lines also both played like crap.

If our pass-rush is non-existent, then it falls to our secondary, which has been shown to not really be able to cover anyone.

Sean Smith (Why do people not understand to just pick a single name? It is a rather easy concept to understand.)

It seems pretty unanimous.  Smith was terrible.  Long looked slow and got beat a lot as well, but he was facing one of the league's best all day.  That was a good matchup to watch.  But Smith gave up 2 big plays himself by mis-playing the ball, and deserves the blame, despite his recent improvement.

In the old days I would agree with you. They get plenty of practice time in the bubble which is artificial turf.
