This is an offshoot of another thread.

Should the NFL Realign divisions?

If so, how should it be structured?  What about playoffs?

AFC East- Indianapolis, Buffalo, New England, NY Jets

AFC North- Baltimore, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh

AFC South- Miami, Houston, Tennessee, Jacksonville

AFC West- Oakland, Kansas City, Denver, San Diego

NFC East- Philadelphia, NY Giants, Washington, Carolina

NFC North- Chicago, Minnesota, Green Bay, Detroit

NFC South- New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Dallas

NFC West- San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, Arizona

Extend the season two games.  Eliminate the scheduling in the same conference based on where you finished the previous year, and instead, have teams play eight "interconference games".  This will ensure you face a team once every three years instead of four.

Add two wild card teams to each conference to eliminate the first round bye for the top two division winners.

I hate it.

No realignment is needed unless/until you add more teams to the league.
