I don't want Mike Wallace (I'm not a fan of any of the free agent Wr's)..I think he'll have some good games, but we'll regret signing him down the road...

so sign no FA WRs and go status quo into next year and have another year of a miserable offense?

I'm not sold on Wallace as a "true" #1 receiver but, we need his speed!  If we bring in a TE threat like Finley then Wallace becomes more dangerous.  With a TE seam threat and Hartline running comeback and crossing routes... now things really open up!

I don't see Wallace running routes other than slants, streaks, and take offs... with his speed I guess that's all he needs to run...  I would love to see Bush out the backfield with that but, doesn't look like that's gonna happen. Sad

To be frank, I'm not thrilled with Wallace, but I think he's the best available.  I don't think we get Wallace and say "he's the center of the offense" - he's not that kind of player.  I think Wallace is a weapon that fits in with the others we have and fills the need for a burner on the outside.  If you use him to draw safety coverage, it opens up the middle for Bess or for whatever TE you have next season.  Don't underestimate the respect defense has to pay to any guy with that kind of speed.

I still don't fully understand the speed thing.  Not that long ago, MIA had one of the fastest players in the NFL at WR and it did jack all.

Mike Wallace isn't Calvin, Fitz, or Andre.....but we ain't paying that kind of money either. Wallace isn't getting 8 years $113 with $20 mill guaranteed like Fitz. Or 8 years $132 like Calvin. Wallace isn't getting anywhere near that. He is getting 5 or 6 years at $60 or $70 mill.

He is a clear #1 WR in this league. Put him with Hartline and Bess and that is a more than capable WR corp win win and get into the playoffs in this league.

There is no good argument against Miami signing him especially with all the cap space Miami has and the fact there are no other legit options out there to upgrade the WR's at this moment in time.

Ben Volin with the latest. Vikings interested in Jennings. Fins looking to lock up both Wallace and Cook on Tuesday. (LaCanfora reporting Wallace will get around $12 mill per year)

Winston is the  fall back option if they can't get Long signed

Hey we signed Hartline and Moore for a grand total of four million against our cap this year. There is a lot of room left.............

The Palm Beach Post is reporting from "someone it trusts" that Mike Wallace to the Dolphins is a "done deal."

To be honest, so will I.  This same publication reported last year that Peyton Manning to the Dolphins was a "done deal"

reached agreement...30 million guaranteed according to Jeff Darlington

(Said on NFLwork)

My last bad statement on Mike Wallace...Wrong guy IMO,If we're talking about Wannstedt,or Sparano as coach..run the ball, play good defense With Ricky Williams, ronnie Brown, big power back running the ball.......Yep,would be a great signing...With the Philbin,I just think it's a bad move... Undecided

Ok said My piece...
