Media photo at stage event vs. promotional product picture.  Tough choice.

And again, you and I have very different ideas of baby blue.

Lol.  You and I have different ideas about pretty much everything. Why would the color of the sky be any different?  Cheesy

Did the Dolphins ditch orange for light peach?  Well, if random media pictures of press events are the judging standard, apparently so:

That's not really a random picture.  It was part of an official Dolphins release.

The picture I just linked was part of an official NFL release.  That doesn't make the colors more accurate.

The reason I linked the Wallace pictures to compare is because I was comparing studio-controlled product pictures to studio-controlled product pictures (i.e. apples to apples).  The colors are the same.

The picture of the manequin wearing jersey #51 was taken at an NFL event by some schmoe with a camera phone.  Not an NFL release.  It was a "leak"

I wouldn't be caught dead in it.

Me neither.

False.

"A Jacksonville TV station that was taking photos of the new Jaguars uniforms at Nike headquarters in advance of Tuesday's Jags unveiling inadvertently posted a photo that also showed the new Dolphins and Vikings uniforms, plus another shot with a closer look at the new Dolphins design. Both of those teams had been set to unveil their new uniforms on Thursday evening."

TV station taking pictures at uniform unveiling = random media picture of press event

They should change from Dolphins to Daisies or maybe even Pansies to match that unbelievably soft color scheme.

Fine, but "in advance of unveiling...inadvertantly posted" = LEAK.  Big fat leak.  Doesn't matter if its a media member who leaks it.

Who's arguing over if it's a "leak"?

The question is whether or not a random media picture of a press event is supposed to be taken as a definitive color guide.  It isn't, namely because such a position would have you believing that the Dolphins' uniforms are now some combination of baby-blue-and-light-peach.

So your rebuttal is that you agree with me?

My post clearly said "it was a leak" - your response was "False."

I was the one who stated that studio lighting is the only judge of accurate colors.

I said it was a "random media picture of a press event" and you said it was "some schmoe with a camera phone."  That's what I was disputing.

We both agree the colors on those type of pictures should not be taken as authoritative.

I never said the "schmoe" wasn't a media member.  Reporters can also be schmoes.
