I like Miami's pick...and think Taylor will turn into a very solid CB for Miami.

Can't argue with this pick - a really solid choice for an area of critical need.

TE or OL next up, maybe another corner?

Hope he doesn't have Titus Young's attitude.

He is kinda small. But not every receiver has Megatron's size.

Finally a CB that can tackle!!  I think this is a great pickup.  In fact, it a steal…this guy was projected to go a lot higher  Grin

Report: Taylor fell to Dolphins because of damaged kidneys
By Will Brinson | CBSSports.com

When the Dolphins snagged Boise State cornerback Jamar Taylor at No. 54 overall in the 2013 NFL Draft, it sure did look like they got a steal. And maybe they did, but there are apparently some pretty serious medical concerns surrounding Taylor.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported Wednesday that Taylor has high blood pressure and damaged kidneys, two issues that were discovered at the 2013 NFL Combine.

Jackson writes that Taylor has had high blood pressure since high school and was placed on anti-inflammatory medication that damaged his kidneys and caused them to reportedly operate at "42 percent efficiency" when he was tested at the combine.

Yikes.

The good news is the combine tests caught the issue and Taylor is expected to recover -- he'll have scar tissue on his kidneys, but the operating efficiency of those organs is expected to improve, per Jackson.

But the potential long-term issues (there's no guarantee for recovery) caused Taylor to fall further into the second round; Jackson reports that teams in the 25-to-45 range were given the recovery explanation as well but chose not to take the Boise corner.

Pete Prisco gave the Dolphins' selection of Taylor a "B" during his second-round grades but praised the pick, noting Taylor looked like "a first-round talent." (Pete also noted that Taylor was the Fins' best pick of the draft, and I'd tend to agree.)

That grade could go up if Taylor makes a full recovery and fulfills his potential on the field for Miami.

I hope his kidneys hold up.  This kid looks like he can play corner for a long time in this league.

As I recall, the heat in Miami wasn't so good for Chris Carter's kidneys.

Neither was Dave Wannschlep's schemes.

This is a draft pick I'm very optimistic about.

He's not small...he's got good size.  He has really good speed. If not for a health concern, this guy's a first round pick for sure.

I believe there are only three draft picks left to sign.  The two third rounders and Dion Jordan.  This new rookie wage scale is putting a smile on my face.
