Here's how it works...

* Pick the division winners from all 8 NFL divisions  (2 points for each correct pick)
* Pick 2 wildcards from each conference  (2 points for each correct pick)
* Pick the Conference champions  (4 points for each correct pick)
* Pick the Super Bowl winner  (4 points for correct pick)

Here's a link to the NFL standings page, if you need to reference divisional lay out:  http://espn.go.com/nfl/standings

I'll fire things up:

AFC East:  Patriots
AFC North:  Ravens
AFC South:  Texans
AFC West:  Broncos
AFC Wildcard:  Bengals
AFC Wildcard:  Colts

NFC East:  Eagles
NFC North:  Bears
NFC South:  Saints
NFC West:  49ers
NFC Wildcard:  Seahawks
NFC Wildcard:  Packers

AFC Champion:  Patriots
NFC Champion:  49ers

Super Bowl XLVIII Champion:  49ers  (like I was going to pick someone else?)

AFC North:  Steelers

This fits in the same category as EK predicting Tim Tebow would solve the Jets offensive problems.

^^^I guess my prediction isn't the only one fitting into that category...

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/pat-kirwan/23268807/nfl-teambyteam-record-predictions (tied for 1st in record, playoff berth)

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1728468-nfl-predictions-2013-final-standings-and-win-loss-projections-for-all-32-teams/page/6 (1st place)

http://www.footballnation.com/content/pittsburgh-steelers-2013-game-by-game-predictions/24194/ (1st place)

http://www.examiner.com/article/2013-nfl-season-predictions-pittsburgh-steelers (tied for 1st playoff berth)

But hey, they're just predictions from a few schlubs like me.

With the loss of their deep threat and with that aging, creaky defense, they just aren't what they used to be.  I really don't see them in the playoffs let alone winning their division.

Is anyone else confused by this win/loss and standings prediction for Miami? They project the Bills to be 6-10 and in 2nd while they pick the Dolphins to be 7-9 and tied for second? Am I missing something?

I'll make it simple for everyone...

Dolphins win go 16-0 and win the Superbowl...

Nothing else matters.

Nope, I'm not saying it to get reactions.  I'm loving the chatter about how bad the AFC East is after New England.  Every year there are shocker teams.  This will be a big year for a few.
