i don't feel it's strange at all ..

pondwater wants to bash obama . .facts may not be on his side so he's got to manipulate his premises in order to make obama look bad .. not in the least strange when you have a pre-existing position and want to back it up

the problem with that is that now you have confirmation bias and you try to make the facts fit your narrative instead of making the narrative fit the facts

Honest mistake. I misquoted. The 39% percent he is at today is equal to Bush during the same of his

“President Obama’s job approval rating has fallen to the level of former President George W. Bush at the same period of his presidency,” Mr. Malloy added.

More insight on Obama's economic plan via Paul Krugman:

Quote from: Paul Krugman on September 5, 2013
by any objective standard, U.S. economic policy since Lehman has been an astonishing, horrifying failure.

Horrifying failure? Say it ain't so, Bwahahahaha

^^^^^

The complete paragraph.

Quote

Obviously, the Obama people are less wrong than the Republicans. But, by any objective standard, U.S. economic policy since Lehman has been an astonishing, horrifying failure.

In an op-ed piece that denounces the republicans for blocking any and all recovery efforts by Obama.

You must work for a news agency. This is what's wrong with those "reporting" events and quoting people. Why not include the entire context? He slammed the Republicans as being worse...

Republicans being worse? No he said that "The Obama people are less wrong", which is far from being right. It still means that the democrats are wrong.  What do you expect a far left economist to say. Krugman, Just like the majority of zombies here, he would never actually come out and say it is Obama's fault. The last sentence sums up the whole article. He said that the economic policy since Obama took office has been an astonishing, horrifying failure. Obama is the president, so therefore it's his responsibility. It's so funny that everything was Bush's fault during his presidency and democrats in congress during his presidency never come up. Now fast forward to Obama's presidency and nothing is his fault. It's all the fault of the Republicans in congress. Oh, and Bush who hasn't been president in 5 years and counting. Amazing how some people are "perfect" and others are the cause of all the worlds ills.

It's just pure dishonesty ..  . .that's all it is .. pondwater is obviously coming on here and lying in order to make his point.

While i don't agree with what you're saying .. i'm not sitting here lying to your face in order to prove a point.

it would be very easy for any of us to do the same.

I honestly don't follow this and have only heard the name Paul Krugman but no nothing about him. I just hate the pure lying that goes on when you chop a sentence in half to try and prove your point when in fact it has the opposite reaction when you provide the full sentence. I'm in the middle of the road, it's just beyond annoying when you act like the news networks and pick and choose sound bites.

I know not which lies you are referring to. However, I will repost some of Obama's lies below for your reading pleasure. Enjoy.

Do you remember the speech when Obama promised that Obamacare would be "cost neutral"? Current estimates put it in the TRILLIONS. And that was before the website mess. Does that sound cost neutral to you?

Do you remember the speech when Obama said “If you like your insurance plan you will keep it. No one will be able to take that away from you. It hasn’t happened yet. It won’t happen in the future. Period."

Do you remember the speech when Obama promised to have the "most transparent administration in history"? Ask Edward Snowden or Angela Merkel how that's going. Ask the people of Brazil or France how that's going.

Do you remember the speech when Obama promised to close Guantanamo his "first week in office"? How's that going?

Do you remember the speech when he promised not to have lobbyists in his Cabinet? That was before he filled his Cabinet with lobbyists.

Do you remember when he promised not to use Super PAC money? That was before he used more Super PAC money than any candidate in America history.

Do you remember the speech when Obama told us that he was unaware that the IRS was targeting Conservative groups? Anybody gullible enough to still buy that?

Do you remember the speech when he promised that the Stimulus would "create millions of shovel ready jobs"? I guess we're still waiting on those....?

Do you remember the speech when Obama promised to halve the deficit in his first term? How's that going?

So much burn and truth in one post that it drives them crazy nuts insane, frothing with emotion. You are welcome to refute or discuss any of the above Obama lies. Or conversely, you can just spin his lies onto me and call me the liar. Your choice sir Undecided

There fixed it for you. Because I'm sure I've left quite a few off of the list I posted.

The Democrats took the house back from the Republicans in the 2006 election, when Bush's tenure as President was already 75% complete.  So what's the excuse, again?

Republicans being worse? No he said that "The Obama people are less wrong", which is far from being right.  It still means that the democrats are wrong.
And that, consequently, the Republicans are more wrong (read: worse).

If you don't trust his word, why are you quoting him?  Either his opinion is credible, or it is not.

Quote
He said that the economic policy since Obama took office has been an astonishing, horrifying failure.
No, that isn't what he said.  Nice try.

He said, "U.S. economic policy since Lehman has been an astonishing, horrifying failure."  You may recall that Lehman Brothers filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in September of 2008.  I leave it to the reader as to who was president at that time.

Furthermore, when conservatives like yourself swiftly distance themselves from the policies of the Bush administration (e.g. Cheney's "Reagan proved deficits don't matter"), that doesn't mean they agree that the policies of the Democrats would have been better.  Similarly, when Krugman says that the U.S. policy has been a failure since 2008, that doesn't mean he thinks McCain or Romney would have been better.  It means he thinks that Obama has only been less wrong than the alternative, but that he still believes Obama has not been right.
