Yep, now we are 3 - 0 in December.  We can add to the list of accomplishments.....

- beat the team with the best record in the AFC
- 2 4th quarter wins

I don't want to talk too much.  I think the game in Buffalo next week is going to be a challenge.

^^Any time we play Buffalo in Buffalo in December it will be a tough game. We didn't see EJ Manuel last game so there is a little unkown there. Our o-line is much improved since our last meeting as well.  Thankfully the Fins have played one game in cold and snow so hopefully that doesn't effect them in any way next week.

Out of our last 3 games I viewed the Buffalo game as the toughest because match-up wise they are a little difficult for us.

I said it before and I will say it again, I would much rather finish 10-6 and miss the playoffs on a tiebreaker than back into the playoffs at 8-8 after two bad losses to divisional rivals. 10-6 can be built upon. 8-8 is just bad.

Tannehill leads the league with nine touchdowns scored in the final two minutes of a half this season.

At 10-6 we would be a LOCK to make the playoffs. Cannot miss. Could even win AFC East with a 10-6 record.

See this thread for playoff scenarios.

Different December my left testicle.  Just like past Decembers, this team fades down the stretch and misses the playoffs.

This collapse just felt different for some reason, maybe because we all knew it was going to happen and didn't delude ourselves this time. It's angering but not painful. If I still gambled, I would've bet the house on the Jets.

We should all be used to it by  now.

I'm not all that surprised by their record, I thought they would have 9 wins, or if lucky 10.  However, the thing that is so discouraging is the Jekyll & Hyde way this team operates.  They go out and win against better teams, and then don't even show up against lesser (or evenly matched) teams.  They just can't seem to fit the pieces of the puzzle together.

That's really the problem. We will have beaten every team that made the playoffs, whether it's San Diego or Pittsburgh, yet we get swept by the Bills, lose our season to the Jets, give the 0-8 Bucs their first win and give away a home game to Baltimore.

I could live with getting beat like we did against New Orleans if we also didn't get crushed by Buffalo.

After the Buffalo game, I'm kind of glad Miami didn't get in. Just to watch them get lit up in the post season by a better team would blow. And getting a worse draft position would suck too.

I know Miami isn't ready to be competitive in the post season, but I thought if they could finish strong in December, it would be a good sign for next year.  The collapse in the final two games is discouraging.  Against sub-par competition, we fell apart - 7 points in 2 games.  I'm so frustrated right now, I don't want to say something I will regret.  I nearly called Direct TV today to cancel my NFL Game Ticket.  I feel like a sucker.....but, in a few days I'll get over it and look towards the future.  If I can convince myself that a big part of the teams downfall was the offensive line, then I can hold out hope of it being improved next year.  We have plenty of cap space to address our needs.

Gotta disagree, I think getting blown out in the playoffs is MUCH better than missing them
