For those that missed the teaser:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYn2tiT_RsI

It shows nothing yet except for the coming soon date. It's going to be a short 13-episode season (much like the 24 mini-season returning this spring).

I can't wait. The beginnings of this show were great. I felt it begin to fade when they got carried away with the circus. Should have been more Sylar (sp?) if you ask me.

Anyway, this link is the teaser and here is the news blurb:

Quote
The enormous impact Heroes had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye-opening,” said NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke. “Shows with that kind of resonance don’t come around often and we thought it was time for another installment. We’re thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.”

Any word on if you needed to have watched the old Heroes to start with this one?

I liked season 1 a lot, thought season 2 was "meh" and gave up.

I just saw this and was contemplating making a post since I know many people were like Dave and watch season 1 but then gave up.

Dave, to answer you question, the word is mum. The mention of some of the original line-up "possibly" popping back in leads me to believe this will be a different story line. They knew they lost viewers as time went on so I suspect they are giving this a fresh look with this run.

I was pretty much a Heroes junkie from start to finish. I do agree with Vid that they should have made less of the circus and more of Sylar, one of the truly coolest bad guys in recent TV memory.

I'm definitely going to be fired up for this new rebirth...

Overall, I really liked the first season and thought it wrapped up well.  I tried to watch season 2, but it seemed to ramble; I got bored and quit.

Nobody ever got fired for putting Hayden Panettiere on a TV screen, though.

After the train wreck that was the final season of Heroes, I'm not sure if I trust the same group to produce this.  Hopefully, they have a plan and will actually stick to it in the condensed half season worth of episodes.
