Maybe, maybe not.  Maybe they would have been 6-10.  Is that really that much better?  At the end of the day, Quinn would have been cut after 4-5 seasons and they would have wasted the same years that were wasted without him.

Unless you guys remember a different team than I do Dan Marino couldn't have won with that team. It was run for your life O-line then too. That's why we had to use Beck in year one.

The outrage was over the fact that this team was coming off a 6-10 showing in '06 and had several huge needs at key spots, QB being a major one.  Cameron proceeded to draft a return specialist in the first round. You can't succeed in this league making such rash decisions

Not necessarily.  Ronnie Brown looked great behind that line.  He was on his way to a Pro Bowl year before he tore up his knee.   Beck and Lemon didn't get sacked anywhere close to 58 times.  The team as a whole didn't want to play for Cameron.  That ugly secret was revealed in the last two games of the year

They definitely should have given him his walking papers after game 1 or 2...

^^ It was a sarcastic response to your professing of what the players think behind closed doors.

John Beck only started 4 games and was sacked 10 times. As a team we gave up 42 sacks. Not much of a stellar O-line if you ask me.

I aint professing jack shit. It came out in the media at the end of the season.  I can see why you don't remember.  That season was a painful and forgettable one

I don't know, Pennington went 11-5 the following year with pretty much the same team. I don't think Brady Quinn would have mattered, but getting rid of Cameron sure as shit helped.

The line was revamped.  Jake Long and Justin Smiley were plowing the way for Ronnie Brown and the Wildcat.  Cam Cameron wouldn't have thought enough to create those plays.
