I just heard from an unnamed reliable source in close proximity to someone who is near to the team that someone who knows Stephen Ross believes he has possibly spoken with someone who is allegedly a voodoo witch doctor about a potential scenario where the organization resurrects Vince Lombardi to be Miami's next zombie head coach.

Jay Glazer on FOX pregame show this morning said he doesnt see any way Harbaugh returns to coach SF after this season. Even if they win the Super Bowl. That this is Harbaugh's last year in SF.

Glazer isn't one of these guys who floats rumors, for him to take such a strong stance....he knows something.

For the eleventy billionth time in the past two years, Harbaugh isn't going anywhere.

To clarify, when you say Harbaugh isn't going anywhere, do you mean that he will still be coaching the 49ers three seasons from now, or two seasons from now, or just finishing this season... what, exactly?

Because I think most people would agree that Harbaugh isn't going anywhere this season.

Considering that SF wanted to and tried to trade him last offseason and now every NFL reporter has the same story even someone like Glazer who is reputable and accurate in his reporting and has a solid reputation is now reporting this and citing sources, it's more than just a silly rumor at this point.

I'm gonna side with Jay Glazer over Sunstroke who is just hoping and praying at this point that his favorite coach stays with his favorite team and has nothing to back it up. Keep crossing your fingers and praying every night though stroke, maybe it will pay off

If a coach is under contract, the new team has to give the old team compensation in order to hire him.  Do you know if that compensation can be negotiated or is it set in stone?

He can go back to college and not have to worry about it. If he wants to stay in the NFL it will make things interesting.

That is exceedingly uncommon for head coaches in the NFL; I would struggle to think of two examples in the last 20 years.

^^^ No, I think he has his contract extended after this season. Short of that, I think he coaches out next year with the 49ers, rather than any of the half-baked goofy-ass rumors that pop up every other day.
