Skip Bayless says everything is going to be fine

For the first time I really believe the Patriots ARE doomed. LOL

What Skip doesn't realize is that this ISN'T a reaction to the blowout loss to KC, this is a reaction to the blowout loss to KC, PLUS an embarrassing loss to Miami opening weekend when they were up by 10 going into the 2nd half and an embarrassing win over a terrible Oakland team that Miami even embarrassed. Hey I don't know if the Patriots are gonna turn things around either, but the facts are the facts and New England's offense hasn't looked good in 4 straight weeks. That's something to be concerned about even if you are Brady and Belicheck. They *might* turn things around, but turn things around is what they MUST do. This is not simply a bump in the road, this is the car firmly in the ditch with a couple flat tires and the rear bumper dragging on the ground. It's nice that Skip Bayless believes in you New England, but remember that he also insisted that Brandon Weeden was much better than Ryan Tannehill. Skips record when he comes out against the crowd is not too good.

Brady is 37 and he has no receivers, so it's not like they are underachieving really.

You can't count them out until they have lost their 10th game of the season, but I don't see a 10-2 run coming their way.

This is what happens when your oline isn't special, nor are your receivers. Not even the system can help you out. However, I wouldn't be dancing the happy dance just yet. They generally find a way to get into the playoffs, even when people in the past have proclaimed their demise.

They might still be a good team, but not a championship contender this year.

When else was I going to comment on how they played? BEFORE they played?

I know physicists recently sent particles of light back in time, but people can't do that yet.

It doesn't take any sort of wisdom to browse to nfl.com/scores and say, "The teams that won are good, while the teams that lost are bad."

No one needs any help reading the scores page, which is why it's more insightful to express a position before the game is played.

The Pats played 4 games going into yesterday, you had weeks to comment on their play this year. And you have commented on and proclaimed many things on players and teams before they have played.  Why is this example any different?

So let's get this straight, comments about a team's past performance (such as our original post) are insightful in some way, but a retort after the next game is played is not insightful?

I know we like to pile it on EK but there is nothing insightful in any of this thread (not to take anything away from Pappy or this thread) because the original position is based on past performance. Had Pappy come on here and based some sort of future predictions/analysis maybe I could give it some leeway as insightful but it is solely based on past performances while bashing EK for using pas performance as well.

I didn't buy the collapse of the Patriots for one second.  I feel like everyone got played.

The original post was about the teams play through 4 weeks and their season going forward. It was an overview of the team thus far.  EK was ignoring the first 4 games and only talking about last night's outcome as like the first 4 weeks didn't happen. There is a difference and it's obvious what he was doing. We all saw through it....except for you.

Remember he is the same guy last year who gave his "season predictions" week 7 or 8  when everyone else did it prior to the season. Same type of game he is playing here
