Jets wanted Quinn but didn't want to possibly wait 3 weeks and end up with no Quinn or Bowles. Plus reports out that Quinn wants the Atlanta job badly. Solid hire for the Jets. Not sure if his personality will fit in NY but he is a smart coach

This is a great hire by the Jets, but he needs a smart OC.  Let's see how that shakes out...

According to media reports, Chan Gailey will become the Jets' new OC.

Good hire for the Jets, IMHO. Not so much for the Dolphins.

Chain Gailey would have been a good hire some 10 years ago. He has been out of football completely for 2 years and he retired.  If Bowles goes with Gailey and Rodgers as his coordinators he is bringing in his buddies and people he worked with in Miami from his time here. And as we saw with Philbin hiring all your buddies isn't always the best way to go.

I didn't even like him as an OC 14 years ago when he had the job in Miami.
