Yogi was one of the few Yankees I can say I was a true fan of.

RIP Yogi!! Not only a great ball player and coach but served our country and was actually at D-Day. He was definitely an American icon!

Aside from the late, great Tommy Henrich, who my father and I counted as a good friend, Yogi Berra would have to be my favorite Yankee. Nobody in the baseball world this side of Bob Uecker made me laugh as hard as Yogi did with his classic one liners. Yogi and Tommy were actually teammates for the last 5 years of Tommy's Yankee career and the first 5 of Yogi's.

RIP, Yogi...tell Tommy I miss his stories.

"It aint over till it's over"  Well, a long, great legacy has finally come to an end.  I had the honor of shaking his hand at a Yankees spring training game.  RIP Yogi
