Philbin elected to keep Coyle after the Dolphins allowed an average of 165 rushing yards per game in the final six games last season, finishing 2-4 down the stretch.
"I believe in the coaching staff that I have in place right now,” Philbin said. “I think they’re the men that can come up with the solutions to the problems.”
If this is the case, and he truly believes this, he's a fockin moron. And MikeO is correct, if he had his way, he would have kept Sherman, who was AWFUL and predictable in his play calling. If my 14 yr (his age a couple of yrs ago) son could see what play was being called, what do you think Def Coord and opposing teams saw? Oh, and by the way, where is Mike Sherman today?
UPDATE: In May 2015, Nauset Regional High School announced that Sherman would take over as head football coach following the resignation of coach Keith Kenyon, who will become the new assistant principal. Enough said.
