The "owner" got rid of Marshall right after hiring Philbin?  Since when did Ross start making decisions on player personnel?

I mean, if you wanted to blame that on Ireland, that would be a better scapegoat than Ross.  But since Ireland is the one who traded for Marshall in the first place, that seems like a poor choice.

Going by the numbers, Sparano was a better coach than Philbin. However, does the current team to have more talent than Sparano era teams? Judging from the expectations everyone had for the Dolphins this year, I would say this team has more talent. I guess that's subjective though.

Sparano coached a 1-15 team to a division title.
Philbin collapsed with the playoffs on the line against inferior teams in two consecutive years.

Owner got rid of Marshall right after Marshall was arrested for like the 5th time since Ross bought the team. Ross made that call 100%, its documented. Ross even went on the radio the next day and said if Chicago didn't trade for him he was going to cut him. That move had nothing to do with Philibin and Ireland, Ross was embarrassed Marshall who was always getting arrested was on his team.

The only thing I found was Ross telling some fan that Marshall would have been cut if he wasn't traded.  I see no indication that Ross overruled Ireland and/or Philbin and demanded that Marshall go away.

should have worded it differently to exclude a temp head coach while the coach was out sick......

When was the last time a coach got fired mid season and then the new coach took the team to the playoffs? (yes, it has happened)

It's true. It was reported at the time and I heard it and saw it reported at the time. I'm not gonna go on a google search for you. You can if you want.  I don't care if you and Spider don't believe it and choose to be wrong on this issue.

He did Google it and said he sees nothing to support your claim. At that point the onus is on you if you want them to believe what you say.

Not on me at all, as I am right and have the facts. Don't have to google to prove anything to you or anyone else. Don't believe me, believe what you want and be wrong. Ross stated he was gonna cut Marshall if they didn't trade him, that's a fact.

Marshall has been gone for years so who cares at this point? Would rather talk about other things today.
