Wake ruptured his Achilles tendon per Miami Herald. Season over. With his high contract and his age, he has played his last game for the Dolphins

Makes our free agency decision much easier. Unless he takes a one year, incentive laden deal, take care Wake. Thanks for the great numbers on shitty teams.

He's under contract for next year with a $9.8 mill cap hit. He would have to take a pay cut. And honestly, at his age and this injury, no pay cut will be big enough. He has played his last game in Miami

Big opportunity for Derrick Shelby. He and Wake have played around the same amount of snaps this season. Would be nice to see Shelby develop and take that next step. He has played well this season

Wake played really before getting injured, I thought. He saw a few double teams, got some heat on Brady, and the refs probably should have thrown a couple of holding flags (nothing that would have mattered).

We should start to see Chris McCain now as well, no?

I've always been a big fan of Wake and I hate to see what was probably his last game as a Dolphin end this way.  I hope he has a complete recovery and can end his career with a good year next year (either with or without the Fins).

He will be active for games. He has been moved to DE in the past month or so as well because he was so bad at OLB. So timing wise this works out.

How much he actually plays, who knows
