THE ASSCLOWN AWARD

« on: November 12, 2015, 06:16:05 pm »

Since fantasy football is so similar to stock market investing, I wonder if some people hire a "stockbroker" to manage their teams during the season, in exchange for a cut of whatever winnings they earn.

While I've never considered it stock broker-esque, I've had two people pay me for acting in a fantasy advisory capacity in the past. One guy used to pay me $20 to sit in on his FFL and FBA drafts and make player suggestions, and another had me act as a sounding board of sorts for his in-season transactions. In exchange, he was going to pay me 5% of his winnings. I ended up having him just twist me up a few large and tasty trees (he always had the insane greenery).

Because the best players are mostly stock brokers who use similar algorithms as Wall St does to make their picks.

I have drafted teams for people (and I don't even play fantasy myself). Last year I had two people in different leagues ask me to draft for them. One team won the championship the other finished second.
