If Brock wins no way they can go back to Peyton this year no matter what. Not even up for debate.

Offered for debate...filed under N for "No Matter" and cross referenced with "What":

* Brock Osweiler beats the Patriots. After the game, whilst partying with his teammates, Brock Osweiler chokes on a Mezcal tequila worm and dies. The Broncos, after a suitable period of mourning that lasts 45 minutes, go back to Peyton at QB.

* Brock Osweiler beats the Patriots. After the game, whilst walking to his car, Brock Osweiler is abducted by aliens (everyone knows that extraterrestrials are Patriots fans) and flown through a wormhole to a galaxy far, far away. The Broncos, after consulting with Agent Mulder, go back to Peyton at QB.

* Brock Osweiler beats the Patriots. After the game, Brock goes cheapskate on his choice of hookers and contracts a freakish sexually transmitted flesh-eating virus. The Broncos, after notifying the Center for Disease Control, go back to Peyton at QB.

417,152 additional "No Matter What-Busters" available on request.

The outcome totally matters. If Brock wins no way they can go back to Peyton this year no matter what. Not even up for debate.

If Pats win, then at some point Manning will be under center for this team when he is healthy. And nothing Brock can do, with a loss tonight, prevents that. Brock can win every game except the Pats game and they are still gonna go back to Peyton at some point when he is healthy.

And Peyton ain't playing for another team, this is his final year as a player in the NFL.

two flaws, 1 manning isn't giving up if he is physically capable of playing he is playing ifa team will have him.  He is more likely to play next year than this.

2. If denver wins while  brock throws 4 ints, he won't win the job permanently.  If denver loses a shooting match 49-48 because the kicker missed a pat, he will have won the job.  Has more to do with his play than win lose

Win, lose or draw, when Peyton is healthy he WILL BE the starter. It's not even up for debate. Bank on it

I heard the same thing about Bledsoe.   BO can play well enough to win the job given hown poorly Peyton played b4 the injury.

This report seems to show either Manning has come to accept that he is on the bench for the time being or the earlier reports were wrong. Manning came to the locker room with notes for halftime adjustments last night.
