2 coffee pots went out at work, the commercial one the coffee supply house provides, and the employee kitchen coffee pot (the Commercial pot being screwed meant this one did double duty, and it's early demise! Cheesy). It took 2 weeks to get the coffee people,to finally send out someone to "look" at the commercial pot.He came 4:45-ish Friday, and said that he'd return Monday with a new one.

Bets have been placed on who shows up 1st,the UPS guy with the new employee coffee pot ordered online Friday afternoon,or the Coffee company guy with the new pot.

I was pretty shocked at the preferences & complaints at the different delivery/package services from people around town.

So I'm curious, much like mobile phone carriers, which works better for you? or are is there no difference/preference for you

I get the most usage out of USPS,and UPS than Fedex..

I prefer the USPS currently, after changing the route I'm on,and the mail nazi bitch that was my mail carrier for several years. It arrives generally Mon-Sat between 8-10 am,pretty darn consistently. Most of the time, beating delivery estimates,(especially across country),and a willingness to deliver early.

UPS quality seems to really vary from driver,to driver lately.I had the same guy for several years that wasn't bad, then they changed for like 6 months where every delivery it was someone different. The current guy will park anywhere from 1/2 block to a block away and walk up,almost sneak it on the porch. The guy in the past always parked in front of the house, honked,if the door was shut, knock after he leaves it on the porch.

I find both UPS,and Fedex suffer from the same flaw for me,never knowing when they'll show up.UPS lately ***Feels Like** If I need it now, it shows up at 7PM,something that I'm in no hurry to get shows up at 11am.

My biggest complaint lately from UPS is stuff arriving with boxes with the holy living tar beat out of them,or arriving in town late Thursday night/Friday morning, and having to wait till Monday to get it. Huh Angry

I don't think it really matters around my route. I don't ship much and if I do it is something going to the office so I use whatever account is available. They are convenient to reach if I need to be to at one of them and they all seem to show up early enough in the day that you aren't waiting all day for them.

They're the same in my area / I don't notice the difference / I don't ship enough for it to be an issue

They all seem to be the same for me as well. Along this note though it is amazing to me that I can order from Amazon today and have something delivered first thing in the morning.

^^ Yep,I love that I get Sunday deliveries from Amazon for nothing, when I order on a Friday through USPS.

I end to receive things I order online, rarely do I ship anything.I feel I tend to do so much shopping online, because the of the lack of major retailers here.(lot's of Walmart stores,1 best buy,1 Target, etc.)

The Coffee service beat the UPS guy to our office with the new coffee machine.

I used to have a bad habit of Fedex leaving stuff at my back gate,on the alley side of my house instead of leaving it on my front porch.Thankfully, after package theft started getting lot's of stories on he local news, they finally stopped doing it.

I absolutely HATE the USPS, their service has sunk to the bottom.  I use their Priority Mail regularly, which is supposed to be a 2-3 day delivery, and it can take 5 days to get there.  Ten or fifteen years ago a normal mailing would be there the next morning for the same shipment distance.  Also, earlier this year I sent a large envelope that got torn open in their processing machines and was delivered with 75% of the information missing, which then necessitated multiple phone calls to get the documents, and very poor communication on their part.

UPS & FedEx are about the same, UPS tends to take a little longer to deliver, but at least they leave packages at a secure place at my house when I'm not home to receive them.  FedEx on the other hand leaves packages in the wide open in front of my house where anyone can just pick them up and walk away.
