<Phone conversation>

Him: Hey, I'm at Burger King, you want anything?
Her: Yeah, a chicken sandwich.

He comes home and she digs through the bag to find a chicken sandwich.

Her: Where's the fries?

He looks at her dumbfounded.

Her: What the fuck is wrong with you?

She should have said a chicken sandwich and fries if fires were wanted.

It's not enough info for me,to side with either...

What did he order, did he get fries and a drink,etc.etc...

I wouldn't be in a Burger King,so Yah Me! This is so far from an issue for me.. Cheesy

I'd would have asked on the phone is that all, no fries,or drink...just a chicken sandwich?...Or just bought fries and a drink,(if I got fries and a drink) if she didn't want them I'd take them...

I'm not sure how his order is relevant, but no.  He ordered 2 chicken sandwiches.

She should have said Chicken Sandwich COMBO, or chicken sandwich and fries...too many variables to just assume she wanted fries too.

As a person who has been married 26 years and has raised two 19 year old girls let me let you in on a little secret. When you ask not only tell them to text you what they want but tell them to be specific because that is what they are getting. It's almost impossible to outguess women as they assume too much. If they don't mention fries and you actually pick up fries you will be yelled at for making them fat or whatever other irrational problem they can come up with.  Smiley

I voted him but this is really really close. If it's me, I'm asking if you want the meal or just the sandwich before I get off the phone and if I forget to ask or am the least bit unsure, I'm ordering her the meal and eating the fries (literally) if she doesn't want them. So I don't know I could see either side in this.

So here's another hypothetical. I have to pick up my daughter from work. I stop at the local racetrack to get me a soda on the way home. Should I get my wife one too? Should I call her and ask? Do I even need to? Basically the rule of thumb that we have decided on is before 9:00 PM just get the spouse a soda too at worst they can stick it in the fridge if they don't immediately want it. Maybe this should be another vote? Someone want to set that up?

For what it's worth, my marriage now has a standing order that fries are always implied when ordering fast food.

Exactly...she wanted a chicken sandwich, and she got a chicken sandwich.

I'm not sure how his order is relevant, but no.  He ordered 2 chicken sandwiches.

It's like a 1-1 count in baseball,If he didn't order fries it's like  2-1 count in his favor. If he ordered fries it's 1-2 count against him.Though he's still alive,as he can offered her the fries (if he hasn't already ate them all!) I feel her right to bitch about not getting fries changes. You didn't get fries, your out can be...You didn't specify you wanted fries,I didn't have the cash, for Fries etc...It looks less being a prick, unequal IMO....

Like I said earlier, I wouldn't be at a fast food restaurant,I would have asked on the phone, just to cover my bases.

And a LARGE drink in my marriage. Don't come home if you got the medium. The dogs are going to eat half the fries anyway. There's no question who's the most excited when I come home with "White sack", it's the dogs.

Not enough info.

Has she in the past has she expressed her love of fries?  For at least one of my ex-gf the question of "what do you want?" means "which sandwich do you want?"  a large fry is automaticlly assumed.

On the other hand with another bringing home unrequested fries woud have gotten me accused of trying to get her fat and off her diet.

Really depends on the particular relationship.  That he didn't know what she meant I would say is a problem.
