I wear those too. But what do you guys call tube socks?

I'm wrong.  I call them tube socks, but I guess I mean "crew" socks.  Built in toe and heel, mid-calf height.

Those don't slide down during the day for you? I hate having to pull up my socks. The ones that go almost to the knee solves that problem great, haha.

What's with all the boxer briefs? Are those the ones that are like bike shorts? I have a whole pack of those sitting in my drawer that I never wear because the legs get loose and ride up my leg. For me, bikini briefs are the only thing that I can wear. Don't even get me started on boxers, might as well just go commando......

What you're describing sounds like trunks (which do have that problem). Boxer briefs combine the best of both worlds ;-)

Boxer briefs for the win.  I used to wear fruit of the loom boxer briefs and they would ride up and get loose like the one guy said.  But I recently found a store brand at Academy Sports that is made out of the dri-fit material which makes them super comfortable and they are tight enough to keep junior and the twins nice and snug without feeling strangled.  They run like $10 bucks a pair, but well worth the money in my opinion.

^ I've found that products made with about 5% Lycra (aka Spandex, aka elastane) and 95% cotton retain their fit much better than pure cotton.

Some companies completely mangle the difference between trunks and boxer briefs, though (I'm looking at you Fruit of the Loom). Apparently, men are too stupid to distinguish between more than 3 types of underwear.

They do scrunch down, but that's just how I wear them.  I don't wear them a lot, because I wear dress socks to work.  And I live in FL, so I wear a lot of flip flops on the weekend.  I only wear crew socks with sneakers.

For undies:

I used to be a boxers guy through college.  I jumped to boxer-briefs a few years ago and haven't looked back.  I wear Champion (get them at Costco).  I threw out everything I own and bought like 30 pairs of the same thing.  They just fit me well, but my brother in laws complain about the ride-up.  I think you just have to try new things until you find what you like.

I did get one undershirt and one pair of boxer-briefs from a company called Tommy John.  They are ungodly expensive...like $40 each.  Got them for my birthday for my wife.  It is strange how different they are from standard underwear.  They're super thin and you barely feel them.  I like to wear it with a full suit for when I'm super dressed up.

+1 on the Boxer Briefs ..

I used to do the string Bikini's till about 2004 or 2005,when I felt like I was coming home feeling like I was being cut in half in half during a really hot day..A suggestion here at TDMMC said to try a pack of boxer briefs, I've never looked back.

String bikinis sound painful, haha. But bikini briefs have an 1-2 inches of fabric on the sides by the hips. Jockey used to have some real comfortable ones called Elance, but they have totally fuck them up in recent years.

Ok, I'll whip out the shovel here... Cheesy

I felt like I was being cut in half horizontally, from hip to hip....I'm not talking G-string. Huh

I was diver on the swim team for 2yrs in High school, and learned to like Speedos.I had to stand in front of an audience and do a dive while wearing the darn things,so wearing when most people would never see them wasn't a big deal.

(shovel time) TMI

The ones I wore initially were more like a jock strap, accept covering the arse region.

After high school my F-buddy,bought me some "string bikini's" where the small cloth covered elastic between the front and back part as a joke. The "string" part of it was 3" in length between the front and back, and about half the width of normal underwear band. It's a bit different from a "women's string bikini"

I'm not sure if I'd ever go back to a bikini type underwear Undecided
