I just really am attracted to the tone.  It's kind of indescribable.  ...drama-ish, comedy at times.  But also, a pretty honest look at society in the urban black community.

Speaking of...Luke Cage is pretty good.  I'm about halfway through it right now.

I happened to catch the 1st episode of Designated Survivor the other week and thought it was okay, missed the second episode though.  I never watched Arrow before, not sure if I even remember hearing of the show before, but caught the 1st two seasons over the weekend when I was laid up with a bad back.  I see season (5) is starting now; should I go back and try and watch seasons 3 & 4 before watching season 5??

I slacked on Jessica Jones...  I watched some more last night so I'm on episode 4.  Once that's done, I'll jump to Luke Cage.   But, so far, him kicking ass in JJ is the best part of the show.

Spoiler alert...he continues to kick ass in Luke Cage.

David Tennant was the best part of Jessica Jones, but as a Dr. Who fan, I'm biased.  Even when he was trying to do good, he was completely incapable of understanding the the difference between right and wrong.

I'll dive into Luke Cage soon.  I'm just reticent to do so, even though I'm positive the show will be bad ass.  Between the two DD seasons and the one JJ season, Netflix has earned my viewership in this universe regardless of any preconceived notion.  I've just never enjoyed the character in the comics.  Back in my day, he was so clearly a blacksploitation character, he and his sidekick (the next Netflix hero, Ironfist) always fell flat for me.  They'd shoehorn them into an X-Men or Spiderman book here and there, but it was normally handled poorly and usually a one off to spur Luke Cage/Powerman sales.  My only favorable memories of him are him enjoying Hostess fruit cakes at the end of other titles.

I always felt the same way...that him and Iron Fist were lame.  They even touch on his look he had back in the 'blacksploitation' days in a funny way.  The way I came into it:  I didn't even know who Jessica Jones was, watched the show, and liked it a lot.  I figured they'd give Cage the same treatment.  His character isn't as lame as it was back in the day.  I'd put it on par with all of the other Netfilx Marvel shows.

I watched Westworld.  Holy shit.  Amazing first episode.  Totally unique and very high quality.

That's the next one I'm trying out after Luke Cage.

Westworld was absolutely nuts... It's one of the rare shows where, after watching the first episode (which I recorded), I wanted to immediately go back and watch the episode again, just to make sure I didn't miss any details.

I'm not sure if I like Westworld or not,the first episode was cool. The opening shot with gave me the willy's,it was such a understated, piece of awesome.I worry that the artificial intelligence story will bore me,as a other shows (and movies) have already gone to the A.I. gets too smart, and takes over, etc, etc.

I love the Ed Harris role, background, who he really is,and curious to know where it goes in future episodes.

I watched Westworld last night based on Stroke's review and have to say I like it so far.

my watch list is pretty tame for the most part.

Modern Family
Big Bang Theory
Blackish
Last Man Standing
AHS
Fear the Dead
Ballers
Survivor
Exorcist
and now Westworld

I'd like to get into Last Survivior but Kiefer Sutherland is such a turn-off. It seems like no one likes the guy who works with him so that makes him annoying to me.

Definitely looking forward to the return of Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, The Americans and Outlander

Add me for watching Westworld last night. I knew I wanted to try it but I was skeptical. I really enjoyed episode 1.

Got around to watching Westworld with the wife. Loved the intro, but thought it was a bit slow overall and didn't really grab me like I thought it would.
