Anyone see this? Our kids, or grand-kids, may be flying themselves to school soon. This is pretty cool! I se some things online calling them fake but I also see where they got bought out and what looks like real news coverage. Anyway ... her eit is.

Cool.  But our kids are not going to be flying them to school like parasailing or jetskiing it is a fun but impractical method of transport.  Could be an optional activity on a cruise ship or at a resort, but not a commuting device.

People can't drive on a road with lines, I don't ever expect short commuting via the air is realistic (I expect the Earth to swallow us up before then).

You don't need water. I'm not sure what you are saying.

It's not the mid air collision I would be worried about, it's the collision with the ground when you inevitably steer the thing into it on accident. Why do you think he's flying it over water anyway?

It looks like Green Goblin's glider.

They did an episode on The White Rabbit Project (essentially Mythbusters) about this basic product.  They fly it over water so that they don't get killed testing it, essentially.  Pretty cool tech, but no practicality.
