Giants have reached an agreement with Brandon Marshall, 2 years/$12M.  The Jets, firmly in rebuilding mode, agreed to let Marshall go because he wanted to be on a playoff team.

Dallas will reportedly release Romo on Thursday and allow him to pick his own new team.  McCown being brought in for possible backup duties to Prescott.

On the agreement it would not be an NFCE team.

He'll be starting for either Denver or Houston this season...take that to the bank. Wink

I'd say 70% Denver/30% Houston.  No other team has a chance.

Not much of a condition, no reason for Romo to want to play for Eagles or Redskins, neither are ready to go far and Giants have their QB.

The Eagles and Washington are also locked in for as long as Tony Romo has any gas in the tank.

Then it should have been really easy for Romo to agree to.

Bucs are closing in on Desean Jackson.   Great pickup as this team needs a speedy guy who can take the top off the defense

He would pair nicely with Evans.

@AdamSchefter: Stunner: Texans trade Brock Osweiler AND 2018 2nd-rd pick to CLEV for Browns to take Osweiler contract off Houston books, sources tell ESPN.

Not exactly "free agent",but a pretty big move I'd say....Romo possibility in Houston now seems a bit more plausible.

Browns win the day for buying a 2018 2nd round pick for $16 mill. And now they are saying they will probably cut Osweiler.  That really is a brilliant move by Cleveland

I've seen it done in basketball, but I don't think I've ever really seen that done in football.  Apparently the Browns have a ridiculous amount of cap space that they probably weren't even going to use.  So essentially they are buying draft pick with money they didn't desperately need anyway.  That really is pretty brilliant.  But of course Cleveland being Cleveland they will probably still find a way to screw it up.

That is the craziest deal I have ever seen.  Brock + 2018 2nd + 2017 6th for 2017 4th.

Browns have TWO first round and TWO second round picks this year. Next year they have ONE first rounder and THREE second rounders.

If they want to trade for Garoppolo they have the picks to do it now and still have many picks left over.

Browns have enough picks and cap space to do whatever they want.
