I hate to be overly negative before the season even starts, but I can't really help it.  After a really good year last year, I look to this season with hope, but when the schedule is released, I start going down the list and it's REALLY tough to see us matching where we were last year, much less exceeding it.

The NFL has the unique quality of not really being predictable year to year, so maybe some of these games I expect to be tough will flip.

But as is, we're looking at about 8 wins...10 if you kill it.

Talk me off the ledge.  Go through the schedule and count wins.  Our schedule looks incredibly tough, especially down the stretch.

I expect that the three games after the bye will determine if Mia is a contender or pretender.

The schedule isn't that tough. Teams in the NFC South are nothing special. Carolina stinks. TB isn't anything great. New Orleans can't stop anybody. AFC West....Denver doesn't have a QB. Oakland's defense is kinda bad. SD is so-so overall. The Jets SUCK and we get them twice. The Bills still can't find a way to stop Jay Ajayi and we get them TWICE. And the Titans we have split with the last 2 years.

The schedule is great for Miami!!

Tampa Bay-----WIN (they're us last year, we're a year better)

Fine.  We were better than them last year and we're at home, so I can see us winning this game, but they were above .500 last year.  This will be a tough game.

Quote
Los Angeles-----WIN (No offense except RB, MIA will have an improved run defense)

Yes, the Rams suck.  However, this will still be a tough game to travel all the way across the country.  But I can see us winning here.  ...again, won't be easy.

Quote
New York-----WIN (they suck)

Division rival on the road is always tough.

Quote
New Orleans-----WIN (No defense)

We lose our home field advantage for a game, so that already sucks.  This will be hard.  They have no defense, that's true, but are historically about even with us.

Quote
Tennessee-----WIN (One dimensional)

We should win this game.  Tenn is a decent team, but we're at home.

Quote
Atlanta-----LOSS (Benefit of the doubt, they just played in the Superbowl)

Loss.

Quote
New York-----WIN

Win.  We're at home.

Quote
Baltimore-----LOSS (Seem to have our number)

Not only does Baltimore match up well against us, we're a Thursday night away team.  They always get beat down.

Quote
Oakland-----WIN/LOSS (Toss up)

Oakland had 12 wins last year and was very, very good.  We will likely lose this game.

Quote
Carolina-----WIN (Carolina sucked last year)
It's true that Carolina sucked last year, but they're just a year removed from being elite.  Also, we're on the road in Prime Time.  I think we lose this game.

Quote
New England-----WIN (We split with NE this year)
I suppose anything can happen, but what makes you think we're going to go on the road and beat New England?  They're a better team, have a way better record against us in the Belichek era and they're at home.  Nothing to suggest we win this game other than wishful thinking.

Quote
Denver-----WIN (No QB)
You have to find a way to win this game, but it will be hard.  Denver's D is very good.

Quote
New England-----LOSS (Split)
If we have a chance of beating NE, this would be the game, since we're at home.  However, it's prime time and they're going to beat us down, most likely.

Quote
Buffalo-----WIN (they suck)
Again, a road division game is tough.  You have us going 5-1 in the division, which just isn't very realistic.

Quote
Kansas City-----WIN (smoke and mirrors team)
They're a better team, at home.  They're going to whoop us.

Quote
Buffalo-----WIN (They suck)
We should beat Buff at home.

^^^ while Mia has had some luck against NE in Mia and not much at Gillette, this year you could see a split with both winning on the road.  For the game @NE Fish will be coming off a bye and NE will be coming back from Mexico.

Good catch.  Although my point still stands...moreso, even.  Chargers are a middle of the road team and we have to travel a long, long way.  That will be tough.

Distance traveled to a game is rarely a factor for that game. If you get home late it could affect your preparation for the Jets game.

You're predicting a game gets cancelled and the only play 15 games?
